Naked Truth Grook

We are very civilized people We hate nudity and banned **** We cover everything - even the naked truth Rape is prevalent - but, we do it in private Only the poor children can be found naked here Sorry, we could not cover them all 12.02.16

No wonder this poem came first in the contest, Anindya! It is very creative, while the presentation is deep hitting and to the point. Whichever way we look at it, truth knows no compromise. # 7 Congratulations! // paul

Excellent grook, excellent piece in general with much metaphor and color. Love the satirical last line which adds irony to the this poetic elements you used. Congratulations on your first place award.

Congratulations on the much deserved first place win! The blunt lines in this poem made for a very hard hitting political piece, that leaves a heavy impact. You covered a lot of ground in such a short piece, and found it clever how the naked children are also "the naked truth". Even without rhymes (which is hard to do for a grook!).

Timothy, truly humbled. I have written whatever I firmly believe and raised my voice boldly. Happy to know that you people liked it. Naked truths are always blunt and bitter which we often try to overlook. But, the truth remains unchanged. I think, it is our duty to face it and find out solutions. Much love & hugs, Bobby

OMG! I just cann't believe it... This was my first attempt to write a grook. Before writing this I have done little study and found that in this format I can hit it hard. So, I had taken out my heart in my hand and written whatever I felt truly. Thanks a lot for giving me such an honour. Love & hugs, Bobby
