Shifting Sands

My feelings are a house of cards,
My will is the glue,
Without the will of wisdom,
They would be toppled by you.
Where, pray tell .. is my wisdom?

House of Cards

I am an ace of diamonds
and you are an ace of spades
together we are two of a pair
like a king and a queen
living it up like a pair of jokers
inside a house of cards

Insignificant Never Mother and Child

Insignificance!
Is not a mother who has buried
Both of her young boys
In the space of 2 years
To ill health
And the deafening silence
That prevails in her house of cards
Her toy less baron back yard

Not For Me

For that one shining moment
I thought you were mine
A fragile house of cards
Constructed in my heart

I misread the lyrics
The song was not for me
I know it never was
Should have read more carefully

Group built like a house of cards;
The odds were stacked against us
right from the very first spark;
Crossing paths with the right hand,
Inevitability,
played  a game we couldn’t win;
Time came with a royal flush.

Put a nickel on the needle
Hold me down so I won't skip
Spin the red top round and round
Catch me before I hit the ground
You sunk my battleship
You knocked my block off
You catch me quite off guard
Should you ever breathe my way
You'll wreck my house of cards.

Open Your Myoptic Mind And, Look Around You

ìŸí Babylon: with your pie high in the sky, death wish ?
Living amid this house of cards; snake eyes domino's tilting box....
Cars and if they could see his californication then perhaps there would have
Been no need to flood her world ? Full moon madness friday the thirteenth some say.

Worlds Collide

watch with hands tied as your two worlds collide
masks fall away and truths are revealed
your house of cards crumble in the wake of their rage
broken promises and shattered dreams are all that remain
the path you have chosen has led to dismay
despair has found those you've betrayed.

Music of Love

Music of love

Playing with table in the
Morning night brings
The shadow of stars
Galaxy of moon and
Planet plan for new shine

Playing with watery blood
Goes in my house of cards
Deep and shalow fry of
Feeling fighting over the
Music of love

With love all

What Goes Up, Must Come Down

Here we go--

Jack of spades...

Eight of clubs...

Four of hearts...

Ace of diamonds...

Ten of hearts...

Three of clubs...

Six of diamonds...

King of hearts...

Nine of clubs...

Queen of spaaa...

Queeeen......

...da'mn it!

I never could...
build a good...
house of cards--

Premium Member The Path Not Taken

The voyage of the heart forsaken

Along the righteous path not taken

The darkness there permeates the soul

Spawns an empty life without a goal

Sullen with a lack of gratitude

Ever cloaked with such vile attitude

Down a staircase where fate soon tumbles

A self-made house of cards that crumbles

Enticed
          by feminine allure
          my resistance
          crumbles
          like a house of cards.

          On brief reflection
          I contemplate
          the repercussion
          of total surrender
          or hurried retreat.

Family, Unfinished

It never lasts nearly as long as
it should
When it crashes down like a
house of cards
And there's a million hammers
hitting your skull
And it's all you can do not to
scream
Like you're the only one left on
earth
As if you were the only one
graced with a brain
That even though your mind is
faster, you don't count.

it came to pass
that the world we built
collapsed when it was tested

the fault line of course was ego
serial offender out on bail
disturbing the peace

the universe tests us
again and again and again
do we smile when the blood flows

perhaps our time has not arrived
becoming a Buddha must wait
our heart flutters in the wind

I thought we’d be together,
Just you and I forever,
Building our castle of dreams.
We couldn’t be divided--
Our hopes and goals united--
Was a house of cards it seems.
I can’t believe it.

I don’t believe you’d leave me
After all that we’ve been through.
I can’t believe you’ve given up.
Can’t accept you’ve given up on me and you.

Tragectary

Bestowed the cruel side...

generations shuffled deck...

The pain the misery...

the mask - the endure, the pretend...

Generations gone before...

relieved of the worry...

passed on forever more...

Souls dance round my energy...

dialect message rescued...

...bestowed the cruel side...

generations reshuffled deck...

The house of cards I felled...

The future I protect...

See the King without a crown

As the walls come crashing down

Closely now his heart he guards

In this lonely house of cards

The Queen knew just how he felt

Broken from the cards she dealt

In a bad hand of poker

She ran off with the Joker

Now his thoughts are running deep

All alone in Castle's Keep

Licking wounds that would fester

Just another Court Jester

Through My Fingers

I noticed it was gone Knew it was the end Heard the closing song Caught in the wind Being left there holding Fate’s hand of unused hints My house of cards folding A world around me went A perfect betrayal Naked in the moment Reality so frail Twisting in the wind Just being lost for me Purpose as it lingers Being life’s irony Through my fingers

Game of Thrones

Lovers then we became strangers
now full blown adversaries
enemies
gladiators armored for destruction.
This is no longer a relationship
it is a ruthless affair
a house of cards
kill zone
minefield 101.
Words sharp than machetes
actions colder than waterboarding
we massacred us
we are locked up in solitary confinement
you the king of North
and this Nubian Monarchy is mine.
To the last Iron and Crown standing
its game on!

Gamble Hollywood Style

Got to keep the image up.
Money is like a new pup.
Intoxicated on beer and wine.
Cop outside - gave me a fine.
HOT DICE - fast rolling green.
WIFE and KIDS - I'm getting mean.
Got to recoup that loss.
What will I tell the boss.
Books are a house of cards.
Fat belly - a jelly lard.
Glitter clown woman call on.
Faster and faster the night time.
HOLLYWOOD image falling down.
It's just an illusion.
I'M THE REAL CLOWN.

I rest my case
on a house of cards
(that)
hit the nail on the head
(of) the nail in the coffin
(that)
hit the ground running
where the rubber hits the road
(while)
time flies when you’re having fun
in the nick of time
(and)
all’s well that ends well
all is fair in love and war
(let’s not forget that)
the writing’s on the wall
it could be worse
(as)
the light at the end of the tunnel
is a perfect storm after the calm
