Britainers have no idea of distance
Ontario to B.C. is just a hop, skip and a dance
About 3,000 miles
London to Aberdeen 450 miles
Holy crap, no chance to change your underpants
bunnies in the field
red and yellow butterflies
hued floral frenzy
bunnies in flowers
with a hop skip and a jump
wind's at the window
colorful bunnies
frolic golden afternoon
under topaz skies
Rain won't let me down, I'm happiness bound
I'm still known as the happiest dude in town
With a hop skip and jump
Sometimes fall on my rump
Walk with a wobble but still a happy old clown
Featherbacks sliding through the air
trailing on the wind,
waiting for that carrion scent
to adorn their nostrils
pulling them to the feeding
hop, skip, jump
tear a piece of flesh
flutter back and scarf it down.
Am I too old to spread my wings?
Not at all came the answer with a sigh,
If you can't hop, skip and jump,
Simply use your eyes... said something
Within...
You can't get started, unless,
You begin!

it´s only
a hop, skip,
and a jump
away from
a greater state of
self awareness
which leads to
self betterment
which causes
a peace of mind
that once was
non existent
within the self
that is now growing
ever stronger within
the present version
of reality

NOTE:A footle is a two line ,2 syllable verse with an integral title-Light Poetic verse form, witty, pertinent, topical etc (technically a trochaic monometer and not necessarily in rhyme).A 'hybrid' innovative sequenced variation has
developed over the years (since 2009)alongside the original definition
There is subdued talk in the lowlight rooms
And outside the skies wear a dove grey bloom,
The wintry light seems brittle edged
To the suns brief course, the day is sped.
Gold and green leaves on their branches whip
Robins fly and land with a quick hop skip,
Then clouds are parted
A shaft of light comes through,,
As before night falls; bids us the sun adieu.

A useless piece of paraphernalia
Is definitely the umbrella
It only keeps us dry from the neck up
Not too brilliant there fella
I suppose there are people out there
Think it's the cat's meow
Hop skip and a jump down life's lanes
Doesn't look too highbrow
Must be more common in rainy regions
Closer to the equater
Parts of the world rains are common
Umbellas were created
love blossomed
suddenly
the evening
we met by chance
in the 'excuse me' dance.
dance was the craze
hop skip jive trip
a hip-hop
twirl forward jump &
stop
then boogie &
swing
her eyes
with a
demure look
I read
this open book
come hither glance
with a song
became
a lifetime romance
He hops & skips at my feet.
Searching tarmac for discarded worms.
One foot, one stump.
Reviled by most who walk past unseeing.
I drop a crumb.
Giving him only more reason to pursue his urban dream.
Silly city pidgeon.
Little pidgeon you dont belong in the city.
I have fed not you but a misguided pursuit.
Send your chicks to the country.
Where they will hop & skip in joy not deformity.
He hops & skips at my feet. I blink and walk on.
Hop, skip
Dive and dip,
Here I go to and fro
Hurry mom you're way to slow.
I picked this flower
For you today
But then the wind
Blew the fuzz away.
I made my bed
And ate my peas,
Can I now have
My candy Please?
The cat is fed
The dog wants out
Can we throw
The ball about?
I love you, mom
I love you, dad
My teeth are brushed
My prayers are said.
Tuck me in
Turn out the light
I love you both
Goodnight, goodnight.
