Youth

Hop, skip
Dive and dip,
Here I go to and fro
Hurry mom you're way to slow.

I picked this flower
For you today
But then the wind
Blew the fuzz away.

I made my bed
And ate my peas,
Can I now have
My candy Please?

The cat is fed
The dog wants out
Can we throw
The ball about?

I love you, mom
I love you, dad
My teeth are brushed
My prayers are said.

Tuck me in
Turn out the light
I love you both
Goodnight, goodnight.

This is a fabulous poem! I am surprised it has not received much applause! May be the title Youth should be changed to - suggest ‘ Childhood days’! I love this poem!
