My cat has some snobbish ways
An, other cats gave her a piercing gaze
So, she tried to hide out
But they still saw her snout
Then gathered and got in her face
sheer solitude
hide out in my room
must be very quiet
like a mummy in a tomb
for if i'm loud- holy cow
the door may fling right open
then peace be gone so i will mourn
words that were not spoken
ghostly beluga whales
shy and discerning
hide out in coves
manatees giggle their secrets
their calves are frisky and open
dolphins swim toward the boats
making friends with everyone
sharks wait for lunch
hoping to catch a whiff of blood
strawberry cottage was a wonderful hide out for the burgundy elf
She hid all of her spells and elixirs up high on a willow tree shelf
the gnome police searched for her, but never saw the cottage at all
It was magical, and camouflaged itself, they hunted in vain all that fall.
i wanna drain away into something
i wanna free the air where it goes
i wanna baffle em all an be famous
i wanna drip from a frozen lantern
i wanna trust a meeker man
i wanna powerful ache to explain this
i wanna fix the water underneath me
i wanna make it back to a place
i wanna hide out in a lobotomy
Night lay in deep, mournful silence,
Quiet without life’s sweet presence.
Shadows moved brutally monstrous.
Arrows of fear dashed horrendous.
Soon darkness from the earth moved out.
Moon went to its secret hide out.
Sun came on his diurnal shift.
Fun it was to watch snow clouds drift.
Sun sets quick in fields now green
Soon bronze shafts to be set free
Cabin two hundred years old
Falling down ghost memories untold
Mountain top hide out
Once proud view stout
Miles away forests can be seen
Here one blessed scene
Crop of rock stand tall
Nature away could fall
My heart my soul
Stories untold
Home long ago
Few only know
light of the moon come to me evil i need to see!they hide out here in the night jesus send me light!the many evils men can't see fall on me!the satanic cult is here i feel them now god help me beat them some how!the light of love shines so bright every day and every night now hide me by the moonlight so they can't see and i promise the innocent will go free!
She may seem happy
Full of jolly
Living her perfect life
But
She has her secret too
She is hurting too
Her scars are hide out
Her tears are dried up
The only difference is
She doesn't show it
Cause she fears
Inspite of her tears
That people would judge her
They Would tear her apart
So Instead of getting consolation,
She ended up gaving hers.
My favorite get-away throughout my life
Deep in the forest is a raging river
With my fishing pole, some hooks, and pocket knife
I catch rainbow trout and fill up my quiver
All alone, no children, not even my wife
My lovely secret hide out, none knew whither
Eight miles of long and winding paths I travel
To this place where I let my thoughts unravel
One caramel macchiato, a barista calls out
Two people rush to the counter
It has a name written on it,
One returns to her seat empty handed
I sit in the corner with my laptop, watching the show
Coffee shops are a terrific place to hide out and write
Cappuccino, mocha, latte, expresso, the barista calls
As people head to the counter my fingers begin to click
~
forest creatures weep
for all the dead, fallen trees
once giving shelter
~
wolves howl piercingly
crying out for woodland plants
to carpet their home
~
raccoons scamper past
searching out their lost breakfast
amid vanished creeks
~
possum wobble by
seeking their favorite den
where serpents hide out
~
deer scamper along
looking for signs of hunters
with yearnings for night
~
It thrashed away
Your heavenly hide out
By the fears of the day
Not able to control the scene
Just another bystander
Watching it smash your dream
Tears spilling down
And you can’t help
But always wear a frown
Because you know you lost
And the end is in sight
And your heart is now frost
It has gone away
You heavenly hide out
Because the fears of the day
You’re to blame
Letting it win
So go hide in shame
Form:
Music… Liquor…
Make you happy…
I can see in your eyes
Laughing in the alcohol foulness
Enjoying in the dimness
You can enjoy only in darkness
Cannot face the daylight
To cover up
A fresh scar on your forehead
That happened while you were working
With your former fellow labors.
Music… Liquor…
Make you happy…
In your new high society
Believing is the true happiness
But you have to hide out the daylight:
The real wisdom!
Hiding out my soul,
in Carles’ Happy Flamingo,
feeling too small
to be larger than life.
She was a tattooed lamp and
shape-shady,
willing to go down
for the wrong guy.
I bought her a drink,
a double-lidded wink -
a ‘bar lizard’ move,
there was nobody
left to care
here or anywhere.
The music was nasal wallpaper
I just sat there
dripping into my heart
until she - bored
with my silence,
slid
her hips away
to pour into someone else.
I have a can of wasp and hornet spray on my desk
It says killer on it.
Do I feel guilty?
Not a bit.
Will I use it?
Oh, yes!
During the day the wasps hide out in cracks and crevices.
But when my computer is on at night, they creep out of their places.
Landing on my screen, startling me.
Like flying mice only more deadly.
When they land on my arm I have to resist the urge to swat them.
I have been stung before.
Most unpleasant.
I reach from the green can,
at the ready.
