Nonbeliever
by Michael R. Burch writing as Kim Cherub

Jesus was a carpenter,
he worked with saw and hammer.
He pounded, banged, for 20 years,
it was an awful clamor.
Then he spent three years a'preachin',
he never had a stammer.
At last they nailed him to a cross,
nevermore to yammer....

Antithetical - Bitcoin Poem 076
Centralized power proves antithetical
To your freedom - it’s quite pathetical

They ask us to be more ascetical
And let them rule - it’s quite heretical

Collectivism fails! Not hypothetical
Property and Liberty - quite synthetical

I’ll stand for freedom and wax poetical
It makes the message more aesthetical

Jim Comey Said About Trump
Jim Comey Said About Trump

Jim Comey said that Trump is heretical,
And not only that he has been unethical;
Wrote great book;
Breath away took;
Then apparently presumes is pathetical.

Jim Horn

Have to read Comey's new book sometime.
Also just ordered Madam President about
Hillary and why she was not elected. My
Republican neighbor next door said it was
not time for a woman. Can you believe that....

Vindicated
Venerated priest John Almond
our brother - reprover of sin,
a good example to follow
and to give testimony to Christ.

He often had to dispute
with heretical ministers,
who came away so confused
as not to know what to say.

He went through the crucible
of life and of unjust punishment.
He was indicted
for it was a treason

for a priest ordained
according to the Catholic rite
to live in England;
so he was martyred....

Premium Member A Poets Heart
a poets heart

they tore it from his chest
and yet it beat
in steady cadence,
a rhythmic resonance
roiling words
re-sounding a tone,
rekindling a fire,
reigniting a thought,
repeating-rebeating
metered mystery’s
tortured torment
toying with truth’s
ludicrous lies,
rebeating-repeating
heretical hyperbole’s
hypocritical hollow
echoing eternity’s
empty promise.
