back in the last glow
of sunset,
is my home,
Hawaii.
While this plane
flies me rapidly
back to
Mordor.

patting them down lightly,

for thrills and excitement I prayed
the nightlife was dull
the rest was a lull
at least I can say I got lei'd
Waikiki has no friendly pawn
In a flash all my cash has gone
But its really grand
To lie on the sand
Thinking of you with nothing on . . . .
The volcano Kilauea
Was bursting its seams to Waimea
Donald Trump came across
Shouting, "I am da boss!
Drop yer drawers and my lawyers will pay yuh!"
God Complex

Children growing up
in outstretched valley arms:
Misty skies, I cry
this is a Haiku for the university of Hawaii at the mouth of the Manoa Valley where my daughter attended
Stitch ran to Minnesota to enjoy Halloween
He had heard he might find the Pumpkin Queen
She was nowhere in sight, but he got to see
A little snow, which never happens in Hawaii.
Our Hawaii summers
denies us the knowledge
that the other three seasons
~~exist at all.
