Personal Memories
We have a bone to pick with you
On second thought we'll make it two
Perhaps we've bitten off more than we can chew
But then again that's nothing new
Can you see it from our point of view?

Alentejo food
I`m boiling a pernil (pork knuckles) with
plenty of vegetables and slow cooks it until
the meat falls from the bone I pick it up
cut off the fat and bone and give it to
the neighbour`s dog that has been waiting
outside for that moment to arrive,
I drink the soup and eat the pieces meat and
the vegetables, we are both happy.
And this was an alternative poem....

I do not know?
Rumours
I have a bone to pick with you.
I heard you spread rumours about me.
Said, I am courageous,
And have endurance.
Am very smart,
Have a good heart.
You like my smile,
The sparkling in my eyes.
Are they true?
Was it you?
Or are these rumours all lies.
I’d like to hear,
From your mouth to my ear.
So I could spread rumours about you too...

A Bone To Pick
Humorous? This could be one;
rhyming rules are numerous,
jumping through hoops nearly fun
as bumping your humerus…
An Ae Freislighe, an Irish quatrain with abab and 2-syllable and 3-syllable end rhymes on lines 7 syllables in length. Poem should start and end with same word(s), but I used a homophone here, because, why not?

A Little Flesh On These Bones
Bone-tired?
Your muscles get tired, actually
Well, perhaps it's the fascia
the connective tissue sheath
mainly collagen
beneath the skin
attaching or separating
the muscles
Chilled to the bone?
Not likely, fellow
unless you are emaciated
due to illness or famine or such
Otherwise, your bones
are probably still
body temperature, 98.6F
I imagine by now that
you've a bone to pick with me
Go ahead. I dare you to try that....
