A Bone To Pick

Humorous? This could be one; rhyming rules are numerous, jumping through hoops nearly fun as bumping your humerus…
An Ae Freislighe, an Irish quatrain with abab and 2-syllable and 3-syllable end rhymes on lines 7 syllables in length. Poem should start and end with same word(s), but I used a homophone here, because, why not? https://www.writersdigest.com/write-better-poetry/ae-freislighe-poetic-form

Hi Nancy! The different forms are fun. All I ever wrote limericks, sonnets, and couplet rhyme, Dr. Seuss-style. At the encouragement of other members here, started trying to write at least one of every one I could, and then ran into another site with a lot more. Some are crazy, but some are really fun, and give you new ideas. Thanks for the read and the comment!

Good write, my friend. I got a kick out of this one, and you get kudos for your exceptional use of the homophone.

thanks, Milt, I think you kinda got me rolling on trying out the various forms, something I've enjoyed a lot, although the Irish and Welsh have got a weird sense of what makes a poem...

Nice homophone words that are not often used. I give you credit for trying new forms, Jeff. I may give some of then a go.

they are fun! I am wondering what is required to get our site to include some of them. I guess asking is probably a good start, along with providing a write-up....
