A Grouchy Grouch
Once I saw an oddly grouchy grouch,
grousing away on an old couch,
gaping menacingly,
as I eat happily,
my juicy chicken soupy lunch....

Greasy grimy gritty grievances
grabbed grandma’s gleamingly glitzy glasses
Giving griping grousing grandchildren gruesome
glimpses of Grandma’s gleaming glitzy glasses....

Looking Through Our Window.
Staring through the sullied glass
Ever present…

A transom of silent reflections
Standing amid us…

Dirtying with every irate grousing
Thick and hazy…

Our windowpane painted shut
Always locked…

Gazing through at one another’s faces
Slowly fading…

Eyeing the desperations of moving lips
Hearing silence…...

Oh, Lord, this is the worst thing
that we dot!
We will be lost at Sea, with
the rest of mediocre humanity.
Grousing, day and so hopelessly.
Why this and why not that?

Because we made decisions that
left us avoiding all spiritual growth,
challenges and avoiding the mat.
That leaves ourr souls, lifeless, void
and horridly flat!

Daffodils grow out the back of my head.
I wish they were purple tulips instead.
My job pays well, but I don’t make as much as Leek.
I lament this fact, ruining part of my week.
My family is good, but Kim’s seems better.
I spend my life grousing, jealous of my sister’s sweater.
Crazy I know, and yet here I sit, irritated more than a little bit.
That my brother’s having a better life. This griping I have to quit!...

Premium Member Grousing Griping Animal Band
The animals took turns being leader of the band.
Today it was squirrel's turn, he marched onto our land.
The fox was pouting, for he said he never got a turn.
This made the moose mad, he did a slow burn.

They each need to be the leader, the tiny mouse said.
The bear stuck out his tongue, the fox turned all red.
I should be the permanent leader, hoot owl argues.
The moose got annoyed, and began clinking his shoes....

Your happiness comes from the good you do. Both envy and jealousy should be eschewed. It sounds so simple but the more you give, the more you get. Grousing and selfishness create hateful mindsets. So many great poets here taught me all of this. They may not have trophies or be on Best lists, but are teaching me by loving examples and utter poetic tenderness! Thank you, Panagiota xx

Anticipating awesome antics, anteaters amend aliveness
Bumblebee beauties begrudgingly believing bouncy buttercups
Conniving clovers clandescently collect curious conversations
Diabolical devilish daffodils delight in damsel’s dainty dancing.
Enthusiastic elves effortlessly extricate eel’s elongated excitement
Ferociously friendly flora and fauna faeries forever frolicking,
Grousing glowing gargoyles grumble and gripe grievously...

Ghost In the Meter
I am following the footprints
Of a shadowed spectral shape.
Through every line and passageway
She sings to me in daydreams.

Songs of virility and violence
Of sexuality so savage.
The grousing of the planet,
Her heartbeat cracks the fault-lines.

She walks under an orange moon
In cornfields in November.
Singing soft her siren tune,

So I may listen and remember
That she may always be pursued
Until my bones like glass will shatter....

Clenched Jaw
Growing up in purest innocence
Greeted as a friend
Groomed with a fine tooth comb
Grabbed unexpectedly
Groped involuntarily
Grouping parts of self
Gripping deeper fears
Grinding self image
Gritting teeth
Gryping of opportunity lost
Grifting gratification
Grappling with truth
Grieving childhood missed
Gripping reality loosely
Grousing silently
Graduating in faith
Grinning of small hopes
Granting mercy
Graced with love
Jaw Relaxes

Premium Member Goblins Grin At Grandchildren's Grumpiness
Glitzy gypsy magic, gathering gooseberries, giggling giddily,
Gallon buckets gladly gobbling up gooseberries in grandiose style
Gorgeous ghostly golden goblins, giving the greenlight,
For grandmother garden’s grabbing gooseberry gala.

Galloping green grasshoppers generating groans.
As grimy, grubby, grainy, grasshoppers gleefully land on arms.
Goblins grin at grandchildren’s grumpy, griping and grousing.
Which will stop the second they gulp Grandma’s gooseberry cobbler!...
