Lavitated and Gravitated

Lavitated and Gravitated

Like angels around Trump people gravitated,
And came closer as they greatly gravitated;
Strength became stronger,
While each nose is longer;
Were those who to prefer to be prevaricated.

Woman Who Listened

She was a woman who listened.
She had those Bambi-interested eyes.
People gravitated to her as if she was chocolate.

Many strangers confided in her
Telling her secrets they would not have told their mothers
She kept their confidence, becoming a one time friend

A woman on an airplane
A woman on a bar stool
A woman who listened

Keeper of the Animals

She was known as the keeper of the animals
Adoring them all, pouring her energy into their safety
Kind to every species, age and size
They gravitated to her meadow, wanting to be with her
Beyond the rainbow they begged to come back to earth
To become her spirit animals and help her nourish the others
Keeper of the animals, a goddess who was never alone

a gift from God

flowers naturally gravitated to this beautiful meadow
they arrived renegade, their seeds transplanted by the wind
bluebells, lilies, carnations, roses and daisies thrived here
the ancient battlement in the near distance was thrilled
he had never expected to see anything this gorgeous in this life
a gift from god, he told himself, and of course, they were

Grumpy Bird Could Find Issues Daily

Grumpy Bird could find new issues daily.
The weather, politics, religion, they were all his fodder.
He could find something to be grouchy about.
Maybe on an hourly basis.

People either gravitated toward him
Or moved to another limb when they saw him fly in.
My cousin loved to sit and listen to his grumpiness.
He is so funny! He said to me, he is a riot!

I was one of those flying to another elm when I saw him land.

Black Hole

There was, and is, a dark black hole resides in her somewhere;
he was not sure if it was in her heart or in her soul
but he was gravitated to her captivating stare
attracted to the only Black Moor in the goldfish bowl
as were many others clipping her event horizon
she, bending the light, the truth, the lies; until non escape
and he was never clear if he was father, lover, son
or simply, to her, yet another planetary ape.

Incandescence

Your incandescence drew me to your flame
Moth-like, I gravitated to your light
Then feigning nonchalance, I asked your name
The music of your voice set me to flight
And added several inches to my height
When you inquired of my name I saw stars
Stellar arrays beyond Venus or Mars
Puncturing through the thick shroud of the mask
I use to hide my stories and memoirs
My lady! All you had to do was ask!

the hem of sunset

He seemed a lonely man
Not alone
Yet lonely
Not seeking companionship
Yet never really alone.

At times
It seemed
People gravitated
Toward his orbit
Circled
Pondering
His presence
Questioning
Its necessity.

He drifted
Through a universe
Unknown
To those who thought
Themselves
The center
Of theirs.

He took the hand
Of sunrise
Walked with it
Through the day
And of an evening
He touched
The hem of sunset.

Debonair Raccoon

Debonair raccoon had his pick of women of course.
He found them in the barn, cuddling next to the horse.
He liked them Rubenesque, reddish and round.
They gravitated him sleek and slick, marriage-bound.

The horse got jealous when Debonair took them away.
He liked female racoons. Many of them “made his day”.
They were eager to please, and their sense of humors were keen.
He thought when Debonair took them from him, he was being mean.

Belligerent Bear Loves His Tree

Belligerent Bear loves his tree; it is the smallest one around.
He discovered it himself, it was easily found.
They gravitated to each other, the tree and the bear.
They were the best of friends and traveled everywhere.

Belligerent Bear took tree to Iceland, to Helsinki and Bali Hai.
They traveled on a train through Europe, seeing eye to eye.
They never had a quarrel, argument or squawk.
Perhaps this was because the tree did not ever talk.

Great Grandfather Tree

Great grandfather tree was wizen and wise.
He kept to himself, southeast of where the crow flies.
We ventured toward him whenever we needed advice.
He was usually entertaining the ducks, locust and mice.

Everyone in the woods gravitated to Great grandfather tree.
His advice was sage, succinct, and as easy to follow as could be.
You almost never got to speak to him alone, he was surrounded by kin.
Sometimes they had to part to let you wander on in.
