Graceless

Today, they choose calm above logic and hold scorn for education.

Graceless

Dear parents -forgive me
For my sheets are all sweaty
An’ I drink heavy…

I take pills –they change me
For some bad things
…they should be

In me and not you

An Untitled Triad of Haikus

As the tide rushes
forward, brown -black seaweed strands
wrap the graceless leg.

Silver scaly fish
catch the glister of the sun
as silken drops of sea

slide off the pallid
hand lifting to wave to those
on the retreating shore.

Courting Old Age

Oh graceless, Old Age,

Your unattractive face the many despise

But your company they desperately seek

For

How else, could the magic of life enjoy

If they were not among those you pick?

Strained Interludes

Graceless facades---
The tiring age old game
Of mindless testing
Grows heavy beneath the brow.
The charade is hard to sustain---
Sometimes impossible---
Yet we must bear it
Time after time after endless time.
The cold fire keeps rolling,
Pushing testing the old confines
Beneath the eyes---

How much longer.....

Discord

Discordant scissors cuts a ribbon Pleasure of a man destroys Nature bows to indiscretion Reality deceit deploys With glee, they break the ground To set an edifice to man’s ambition Forever ruined with proposition Field and flowers sacrificed Breached to bent insanity Evolves a place profaned Glowering graceless vanity Imprisons the insane

The Infinite, the Indistinct

let the world fall
let light extinguish
let the beauty of all
truth, life, nature
decay & fall
in slippery chunks
past the windows
let the world bleed it's self out
in dingy-dark water color
& slide like rain from the rooftops
our rooftops, our windows
our world
falling
graceless & graceful
over the last edge of sanity
the precipice
of all finalities

Unsayable Gospel

Turned over to a sexual revolution,
evolved to hijacked rainbows.
Graceless hearts deprave the mind,
a diseased façade of freedom,
to redefine every right and wrong.
Prophesied last days ushering
the Bride of Christ persecuted.

Welcome To Living Death

There comes a point in time
Where nothing matters
Where your vision is blurred
Where there's nothing but darkness encircling you
Where love has lost and Fear has won.

There comes a situation when you realize your hopeless,
lifeless, faithless, graceless, breathless, and mindless
mind has taken over and won.

Where happiness is feared and sadness is embraced.

Welcome to living death.

Ride

The horse, the horse has no stable
It ran straight out of our fable
The rusty lion has had to jump and shove
And is already sick of our love
The only one that doesn’t seem to dare
Is the graceless Swann
Who has long since been too tired to care
Therein lay the sign
The demise of our beloved shrine
A plea to stop this machine
It borders on obscene
And shift our gaze to the wildest of green’s

Let the Redeemed of the Lord, Say So

"Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from trouble." Psalm 107:2, English Standard Version
The Lord’s redeemed will praise His name, appreciation justified. Though self-inclined wish favor’s fame; the Lord’s redeemed will praise His name. When admiration calls the claim, those graceless souls with God collide. The Lord’s redeemed will praise His name, appreciation justified.

The Day Reborn

I heard the wind scouring trees
As around my head danced whirling leaves,
In the sky, the clouds they raced
Scudding, at some graceless pace.

The wind gave voice, in manic howlings
As chimney pots surrendered cowlings,
Any hope of calm now cast asunder,
For in the distance, rumbled thunder.

A crack, a flash, blinding, bright,
Lightning sparked to my delight,
Who is not humbled by a storm,
For 'tis the day, being reborn.

Earth

I’m waiting for an astronaut to save this place.
Like a detective from outer space.
An astronaut is faceless.
And strangely, graceless.
As he bounds over.
I ask what his laser is for.
Or why he’s shoving me through that door.
I ask if I could get a phone call.
He acts scared and almost falls.
It’s not how I expected.
He is someone I once respected.
I wish someone on planet earth would accept our pleas.
But red is all they seem to see.

Apart, We Flutter

I've gazed out,
But was never set free.
I just wanna sprout
And draw you into me.

Cosmos pieces us together;
She flaunts in great lavish.
Sweet solitude in our tether;
Heart of trust grows ravish.

I've peered within,
Intercepted in the midst.
Will love ever win?
Like a gash on a wrist,
It pains to ever grin.

Graceless souls betrayed.
Love’s angels lack heart
Like a grand masquerade.
Universe rips us apart;
We will forever evade
Like these poems portrayed.
