from a table too old.

A loss so sudden.
Your life brought to
a sudden end.
Fear not your memory will
never fade your star shines
bright So Sailor on
Sailor Fair Winds
and Following Seas
Gone, but not forgotten,
steals a little of my heart,
and no matter where I breathe
we are never far apart.
I see you at your icons;
your little bed beside the fire,
your favourite trees; the river;
facing cats that raise your ire.
Now even in our great divide,
that both of us were dealt,
without a word, or even thought,
your presence can be felt.

the magic colour purple
upon my lips did place.
A colour filled with wonder
that matched my bright-blue eye's
that could never set asunder
the oh-so-joyous surprise.
How good it looked, how good to see
that riotous splash; that helped me, to be
not him but HER, not he but SHE
awaiting womanhood

Over the years we had great memories

The day I heard you died it brought tears to my eyes
I did not get a chance to say good bye to you
