GLOWWORMS

             Glowworms
             to glisten, gleam.
             Soft warm glow of glowworms.
Fireflies love to fly most in swarms.
             Night - charm !

Glowworms

Legions of glowworms
      attached to the roof of a cave;
  their tails glow captivatingly bright,
             and they look like
             thousands of stars
           in the the twilight sky!

Sleep

when glowworms
in the stygian night
threw flickers of light
like scattered gems,

when little birdies cuddled under
their mother’s warmth,
while the long whistle of a train
was dying in the distance,

I sensed the indulgent grip
of the hands of Sleep
who hauled me
to his gilded chamber of dreams!

Cradled into Sleep

as the glowworms in the stygian night threw flickers of light like scattered gems, when little birdies cuddled under their mother’s warmth, while the long whistle of a train was dying in the distance, I sensed the indulgent grip of the hands of Sleep who took me to his gilded chamber of dreams!

Three Di-Mentional Firefly In Hcc

A thousand fireflies,
light up the night with torches.
World getting brighter.

Torch
firefly
holds light high
brightens night sky
lit

Phosphorescent light
coming from male abdomen.
Invites passionate glowworms.
Wingless female blinks,
hoping to attract nice male.
Will soon be a thousand more.

Chimes

My tongue flaunts a fur-trimmed coat
of smoldering, ginger-scented rhinestones,
bragging and boasting
about how fashionable it chooses to be
when a Chime ventures
into the dank, cavernous throne room.
Gilded lions guard the gate,
cowering upon beholding those decadent,
syrupy, muted Chimes.
Zingy, flashy, and so trendy.
Glowing like glowworms,
they make music in my mouth
with a percussion section of ginger gold
that spits sparks of regret.

Moonstruck

Somewhere yonder
When the fiery sun
sets for the day,
And the night,
lurking in the
wings of darkness,
Sneaks upon the weary world
with its murky glee,

I go out with a crystal jar
and collect glowworms.

With stars for my eyes
and winds for my wings,
I surf upon
the waves of the seas
to rope in the footloose Moon
and bring her home
to set me ablaze
with her warm silvery glow!

The You that was

Like a feather, flaky and light,
Suspended in the air against the golden hue----
With blades of lemon grass beneath, tall and sharp
You burst forth in my mind,
Spilling colors of ecstasy
In the aching heart.

Like a story untold, unwritten, unsung---
You stream a melody of once upon a time.
A glimpse of you, splash liquid delight.
And send thousands of glowworms in the garden of dreams.
No matter where you are, however, you shine,
I still have you, who once was mine.

Wooing the Moon

Somewhere yonder
When the fiery Sun
sets for the day
and the night,
lurking in the wings of darkness,
sneaks upon the weary world
with its murky glee,
I venture out
with a crystal jar and
collect glowworms.

With stars for my eyes
and winds for my wings
I ride upon the
                waves of the breeze
and rope in the footloose moon
to come home and
                      set me ablaze
with her warm silvery glow.
