Wooing the Moon
Somewhere yonder
When the fiery Sun
sets for the day
and the night,
lurking in the wings of darkness,
sneaks upon the weary world
with its murky glee,
I venture out
with a crystal jar and
collect glowworms.
With stars for my eyes
and winds for my wings
I ride upon the
waves of the breeze
and rope in the footloose moon
to come home and
set me ablaze
with her warm silvery glow.
