Born Again
Haiku

Being Born Again,
Means giving in to Jesus,
Before it’s too late.
“If you can’t ever give up ~~
Perhaps, try giving in!”
written February 26, 2022
What is sin?
Sin is a grin.
It’s laughing,
it’s playing,
it’s always giving in.
Do you sin?
When did it begin?
Cause no one can escape,
the inevitable sin.
Just put me on hold while I do this,
Turn me off,
I’ll be back when I’m done,
My reactions are no longer mine,
And if I pass
Don’t worry,
Just think thoughts sublime.
Form:
I believe in commune ism
I am for giving in light of others failings
And I think
Words can be a whiff of grapeshot
Or a blind cannonball that won't spare one pillar for another
Drained.
A cold beach with a low tide,
Giving in...breathing out;
Contemplating hurt.
Looking for invisible injuries...
Drip,
Drip,
Drip.
A tap of unexplained guilt.
Form:
Stubborn, never giving in frivolous ways,
remaining an example of manliness...
quickly fading in modern times.
My image proudly set in stone,
a face battered by the fierce wind.
Whenever you make a donation
rather than seeking an ovation
let your gift be in secret.
For while it's unseen yet
in heaven you'll receive approbation.
Matthew 6.1-4
To take out of life without giving in return,
is to die without accomplishment.
For what we have in life,
can not be taken in death.
But what we give of our self's,
can be left in memory.
Everything that’s real, hidden;
Safe to say? Not safe at all;
A virus exposed the masks;
Comfortable and complacent;
Giving in so easily,
False eyes, no humanity;
Avatars, threads, and chat rooms.
A little chill has crept inside
Since summer's skulked away.
At first a sweatshirt does the trick
To keep the cold at bay.
But finally I must give in,
Admitting my defeat,
For up go the electric bills
When we turn on the heat.
Giving in marriage to in laws
Growing their children
As spouses their parents
Returning their spouses
Back to their parents
In laws, breeding more children
Giving in marriage and
Bringing to divorce now
A common like business
Giving in to the writing
all else went to hell
The bills stayed unpaid
one room left to dwell
Giving in to the writing
I rolled the last dice
Two dots facing upward
—and paying the price
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2018)
it’s worth
not giving in
not giving up
how I yearn
for fortitude
to overtake my heart
and release dark thoughts
and stormy clouds
that fill my sky
and weigh me down
how I pray for
sunny days
of freedom

O spark of divine,
Your creed is mine,
Smile and be kind,
Keep giving in mind,
You're cute and affable,
Yes, totally lovable,
Through each bliss bomb,
Fun loving with aplomb,
We share so magically,
Sage laughter capably,
Great gift you are to me,
Admire you eternally.
My DEPRESSION,
Is consuming me,
It's taking over my mind,
Body, and my very soul.
I try so hard,
To breathe,
To survive.
But, my mind just wants to die!!!
Giving in,
And letting go,
My DEPRESSION,
Has devoured me.
It has swaolled me whole!!!,
And darkened my very soul.
I told myself I can,
Maybe I could.
I gave it a try.
I failed.
I told myself I can try again
Maybe I could
The second try
I failed.
I thought of giving in again
Maybe I could
Try and try and try once more
But I thought…
…Never, Never Again. Never will I do it again.
breathing slows
quickens
i'm crashing down, there's no way out
my mind spins
stops
will to live gives way to doubt
silent screams
whisper
just hang on, it's almost time
giving in
resist
telling scars all in a line
Don’t you know?
The things you can’t change,
May be far too many,
But that’s okay,
It’s okay,
Stop giving in,
The world may seem so lonely,
But that’s okay
It’s gonna be okay,
So stop letting go,
Don't let go,
You can still find a place to call home.
Form:
What if I did?
would the world fall?
the sun blazing
through my skin,
would find its way over
The horizon again.
Forcibly self restrain my breathing
screaming, end me.
But
the stars
Deny me entry
And rise. Nothing changes
So I remain
Tethered to life
by this friend-
Fear.
Partial to a summer's day
Never left the winter's play
Foolish each and every walk
Never giving in to talk
Finally down on bended knee
He spoke only just to me;
Invest soul'ly in me my loving son,
Find your dividends multiplied a ton
Partial to a winter's pray
Never left the summer's day
When I awoke,
I started thinking.
Am I rising?
or Am I sinking?
I live each day, as just a day, and carry on my merry way
But there's something more I am trying to see...
Open my eyes and show it to me!
I shall live each day with bated breath,
Giving in to Life or Death.
You lied
Wondering why you lied
You said your not that type of guy
but towards the middle of the fling,
you blended in with the rest of the men
Now, I’m about to commit a sin by hating and giving in
to the lies you told knowing that it wasn’t true
I had to deal by cutting ties with you

Under water
without a string
without a floater
unable to breathe
life can be hard
life can sting
life can be impossible
to live.
And then you go
fighting to thrive
swimming on your own
under the sky
never giving in
while you cry
learning how to grow
learning how to rise.

For her own sensual pleasure, she loved to dance
Never giving in again, to her need for romance
for once, long ago, a man had broken her heart
To this wild gypsy woman, the dance was an art
Her torrid gyrations were evidence of her passion
Sensual, her heart to passion
