Deciduously
You did not want to play?
into the strength,
of the other.

Wrecking the pecking order,
to become poorer,
giving away your entire height ?

I could live,
without your blasts, O sun,
but I need my moon,
for whole night.

It pervades,
the dark matter, in every pore.
Like gingko tree
I will drop all the pretentions
tonight, and become leafless.

Sunlight In the Misty Morning
sunlight in the misty morning
cool breeze blowing your smile my way
the quiet of the young day frees my mind with no warning
all i can do is chuckle and sway

the love i feel for you is like frozen time on gingko bilboa
i cherish every moment of your walk to me
you remind me of the definition of forever over and over
the repetition turns to precious diamonds with each time that you talk to me...

Premium Member From the Kitchen Window
The burst soapsuds dissipate. Six doves outside my window Enjoy their meal, congregate. Wings whirr, head to the gingko Baby phoebes see surroundings. With wide mouths expose tastebuds Hunger each day compounding! I look, then see burst soapsuds
So much happening outside my kitchen window view that I forget the dishwater is getting cold and chores going undone. June 20, 2023...

Feeling Rough
Feeling Rough

Sore throat, runny nose,
Could be a cold I suppose,
Or could it be influenza?
I think I need a detox cleanser

Turmeric, folic acid, gingko leaf
I'm feeling rough beyond belief
High B.P. and heart attack
Been called a hypochondriac

Gout in toe, earache
I never know what to take
Rheumatism in both knees
That Ibuprofen gel seems to ease

All my ailments could fill a page
My greatest one is called old-age...

Premium Member Blessings
God granted me a reprieve
From life's mundane daily needs
By sending a family of Chickadees
To take a bath as they please

In the birdbath outside my window
They splashed and splashed in splendor
Far from the still green slender gingko
Former beauty of spring's moments tender

Just a little reprieve in my kitchen
Where so often as I have mentioned
My time spent where no one pitched in
Soaking in beauty of God's which strengthened ...

GLORIOUS FALL

Fall’s the time of year I can hear,
whispers of warmth retire.
Watch trees undress their fiery hues,
branches shed … their attire.

Sun ignites all of Fall’s glory,
those beyond falling leaves,
Ones that paint abstract ground cover,
over … the roots of trees.

Walking beneath Golden Gingko
kicking up it’s gold leaves.
Not lady like way, walk to work
kicking leaves … high as knees.

Harvest moon celestial gleams,
in Fall ... back lights my dreams.

...
