Toolbox
A plumber called Geoffrey Golightly
Enjoyed making love almost nightly
But he got such a clout
When his wife caught him out
Now he’s holding his toolbox quite tightly...

Epitaph For George - a Lethal Wind
EPITAPH - A LETHAL WIND

Here lies George, the sad deceased

Victim of flatulence released

The result: he would expire

Stood before an open fire

A Life Cycle
A LIFE CYCLE

Ejected
Dislocated
Passive
Activated
investigative
Never stop
Driven
T’ward the top
Content
Paternal
Fulfilment
Feel eternal
Perceive mortality
Free
Just a memory

After a Line By Geoffrey Chaucer
Your yen two wol slee me sodenly

Surrounded by warm sand
Black pools deep as the
Cold in your face

Your hand
With emollient grace
Will cut the wire

Carved then polished
Hair that twists as
In a Spring flood

Your two eyes will slay me suddenly...

The Window

Was it yesterday that I ate egg on toast?

That man across the road has a new car, a red one.
I don’t think anyone rang this morning.
Oh yes, I remember now, they did, it was Geoffrey.

Is it Monday?
No, it can’t be, Geoffrey comes on Monday.
Oh that’s right, he can’t come this week.

I’m hungry.
I think I will make some egg on toast....

                    Adore my goldfish
                    Swimming happily so sweet
                    Wavy gorgeous fins
                    Two intent amorous eyes
                    My aquatic treat

Vale To the Firefighters
Geoffrey Keaton, 32, and Andrew O’Dwyer, 36, both died when their fire truck overturned in the NSW fires.

Rest In Peace Australian heroes.

Vale to the Firefighters

Do you think there is a special place in heaven
For people who pass as heroes
Their names are written with pride
And should not be forgotten

Let their families find their peace
Knowing that they will be looked after
From a grateful nation
Holding them close to their hearts.

G Day
Most Jewish people name their kids
For someone who’s deceased,
Or if they don’t, their first initial
Might be used, at least.

My father, George, was born today
In 1924,
Though when my son was born
He wasn’t with us anymore.

So Geoffrey, spelled the English way,
As tribute to my dad,
Is here with me today, a date
That’s always somewhat sad.

Of course, my father’s on my mind
But life makes its demands
And George would be delighted by
Both Geoffrey and the grands....
