I wonder how many older people, alone, during  the pandemic, feel lonely, and feel their mind slipping away.  My mother in law is 92 and alone, my husband rings her every day, and travels a 250mile round trip every week to see her, take her out, etc. How proud of him i am, and how sad i feel for her and others like her

The Window Was it yesterday that I ate egg on toast? That man across the road has a new car, a red one. I don’t think anyone rang this morning. Oh yes, I remember now, they did, it was Geoffrey. Is it Monday? No, it can’t be, Geoffrey comes on Monday. Oh that’s right, he can’t come this week. I’m hungry. I think I will make some egg on toast.

A very moving write, Janine! The thought of what the elderly have gone through in this pandemic breaks my heart. Blessings, Kim M
