You look at me that way and I wonder, should I hyphenate ‘distaste’

If All
if all we ever do is frown
life will always get us down
if we can sometimes be happy
life would not always seem so crappy
Melodies
Of strangers
Passing by.
Distortions
From the known
Passing through.

Listen to poem:
a frown is a smile
with naughty corners of mouth
dragged down, to half-mast.
stop wallowing in the mire ~
flip your lips to all ends up
Filling Face With Frown
Trump does wear us down,
While filling face with frown;
Gone away;
Heaven stay;
So in sorrow had to drown.
Jim Horn
One Halloween I dressed up as a clown
At dressing up I was renown
I went around town
With a very big frown
But the candy turned my frown upside down
Watches herself in the mirror
Listlessly smudging the lipstick off her face
~ her smile gone ages ago

I have heard enough of your growl;
I am well aware of your prowl.
When you wear angry frown,
You appear like a clown.
Why waste time expecting my howl?!
Wipe that frown from your face
Trust in what the future has in store
You never know what's around the corner

Smiling
unexpected call
hearing voice of an old friend
renewing a bond
Frowning
busy freeway scene
driver looking down , texting
what's so important?
Sadly I do frown
I know she’s with another
Pain inside is great
She has always kicked me down
And would leave me bleeding red

MAKES ME SMILE
A bowl of Popcorn
Steaming hot and freshly popped
A delicious treat
MAKES ME FROWN
Morning newspaper
In a puddle, soggy-wet
Will never be read
Please do this one thing for me
don't walk around so suspcious
stop and breathe
take in everything with the correct frame of mind and clear eyes
to everything and everyone
be gracious
Form:
I smile when-
Woman has strange men over
You laugh and mind business
Married to your ******* neighbor
I frown when-
Man wants medicine for kid,
Clinic shut down,
Alcohol delivered a government payout
An upside down frown is the symbol of a clown
No troubles, just a real happy trip through town
With a big red nose
In his hat, a red rose
Bet you're smiling saying adios to your frowns
Day's yet to come with a frown on me bum
Wot's that I say, is that Shakespeare I sung
The latter is more appropriate
You agree I suspect
Ain't no poet, just sittin' here sucking my thumb
An upside down frown is the symbol of a clown
No troubles, just a real happy trip through town
With a big red nose
In his hat, a red rose
Bet you're smiling as you say adios to your frowns
Fearless and cheerfulness
radiance and happiness
oh my God! Obedience not rebellious…He’s my rock and my shield
willing to serve You
Nevermind my mind of doubt and not of faith — peacefulness is not a battlefield
I Smile In Prayer
Lord thank you for space
To float dreams on water wings
In the sea of life
I Frown When
Some snakes walk, talk, are
Deceptive beyond reason
Use hearts to play darts

though it may not always be easy
no matter how the winds blow
the choice is always yours
frown and the clouds will gather above your head
smile and the world will indeed smile with you

Sunshine amid shadow,
fruitfulness from fallow.
Water from daunting drought,
sweet songs from fearful thought.
Smiles amongst sardonic frowns,
harps above the sour sounds.
Life is full of beauty,
finding it our duty.
I made you smile
You laughed out loud
When I was kicked in the pants
You had your fun
I played the role for you
Now that the shows done
And I am out of the ring
I peel off the mask
Put on another
You may now squeal
He was laid in the casket;
He didn’t wear a smile;
Because the mortician, didn’t put any makeup on?
And so he lived and died with a frown on?

Pain is not the enemy
What is causing the pain is the foe
Stress is not the warrior
What is causing the distress surely has to go
Life is what we make it
So if yours is getting you down
Its' your life_change it
Stop wearing that awful frown
Form:
Smile:
Happy
Family,
Laughs and writing,
Making me grin because they’re exciting.
Yet so many things can ruin a day:
Hate, anger, dismay,
Falling down,
“We’re Late!”
Frown
