Some of the songs
in black and white
Saturday evening television circles. 
Some later, songs of folksy pretension.  
The songs persist 
anchors of memory, 
like the crystaline 
seeds of clouds, 
matrons of tribes....

Friendly folklore frightening fools, freckles and more.
Forbidden folktales foraged by frisky faeries galore.
Fitting a folksy framework of fulfillment in field number four.
I am inspired to folk dance my way out there, my interest doth soar....

Shocked, taken aback,
I was stood up by my standbys
ever reliable phonies who stood by
and watched. My dear friends quaked
and spluttered excuses from stand-by mode.
How quickly the folksy flock dispersed
to vultures, hanging, waiting 
in stand-by queues, for me to fail, so can step in.
Chameleon onlookers standing by.

Meeting with Mayor Tom, that’s why the gals are ‘roun
