Sometimes, I wish I could fly,
So high in the sky.
I would disappear,
Away from here....

Flights of Fancy
She was a frequent flier
of the flights of fancy and
her life was often left to
the fickle finger of fate.

A Conundrum
A conundrum to complicate
A sticky situation dire
To answer we will have to wait
A conundrum to complicate
A tricky one right out the gate
On this one I'll take a flier
A conundrum to complicate
A sticky situation dire

Autumn Flier
leaving on a breeze
swirling red yellow brown page
embarks into blue...

Aspiration
I aspire to be greater than the sire,
Though higher knowledge I must acquire,
My desire burns in me than furnace fire ,
Which makes me perspire like a town crier ,
I admire the traits of men in the flier ,
Which makes my entire life look like satire .

Freedom Flier
Tail-flag high
white
hell, no, not surrender
a baton
to follow
as its fuzzy owner
dodges
hops
bounces
over boulders
ducks
under pricklies
hippity
skippity
through grass
turn-look
make sure
the follower is close
but behind - yup,
ok, then
onward!
prancing
straining
tugging
on the string
that holds
him back...

Premium Member To a Little Brown Flier
To a little brown flier lying on a sill.
Who thought stained glass was sky.
Flying straight into Mans' cold mirage.

Body still warm in my palm.
The final diamonds are leaving its eye.
Slowly climbing into mine.

Beak filled with bits of future's nest...
Little brown flier, yellow ribbon crowns the head...
Faith set ablaze, when life pays alms to death....

Kite Circles
Around in circles, round and round,
Spiraling up above the ground

On thermals rising ever higher,
Effortless ride for fork-tailed flier.

Then, talons locked, they cartwheel down,
Orbiting, circling round and round.

They mew and mew like flying cats,
Amazing aerial acrobats !

Still circling, clockwise corkscrew flight,
Ever upwards 'til out of sight....

Premium Member Night Sounds At Campsite
Night Sounds At Campsite Written: by Miracle Man February 10, 2021 Night sounds heard around our campfire, Sounds from darkness beyond our campsite. I’d often hear the swish of a nocturnal flier, a sound that always gave a young boy fright. Not due to loneliness did the coyote howl, but it sent out a message to me-beware. Nor did I understand the answering Owl, who gave a hoot but didn’t really care.

Pickle Party
"It's a pickle party!"
The neon flier pinned on the board said
Happy was the green speckled cucumber
When the text he read
"How lovely!" He thought with a bright grin on his speckled, dotty face
I must share the news, the mini-cucumbers have a place!
Pickles hardly party, but this would be really fun
Let's bring vinegar, garlic, onions, and dill and make it one
No one will soon forget!
"Pickle party, pickle party!"
Rattled off the happy tiny cucumber
And off he went to share the news...
