The firefly is pyrophoric
Giving off glowing light
Such a ethereal sight
Glides around children who are euphoric,
One of few creatures who is adoric.

first night—
the soul’s fringe still shining hazily
the last night—
as though knowing time has come
morning comes—
a firefly spends all its light

bumped into a computer monitor

Winds of Change

I spied a gossamer firefly, with big black eyes...
Kissing, her beauty's butterflies; together they flew
Beyound the residuums view; these taunting, cockatoos.

Light

The darkness that soaks you,

Dedicated to your way,

It’s all you are gifted merely.

Be your own light.

Be the firefly.

What choice else remains?

What choice?

Premium Member Flickering Firefly

flickering fireflies

faerie spirits of the land,

I cry to see you...

but when I embrace the sea,

she washes those tears away.
