For you I’ll paint them red, she said
my lips my toes my fingernails
yet know I will remain unwed
it is the fate of most females

His mind was made up
Opinion unchangeable
Irreversibly fixed
Until he met a femme fatale
With wily tricks
He came around as easy as fiddle sticks

Elusive

Love is not an illusion
It is tricky
And elusive

Where is the girl
Leading a charmed life
She secretly covets
To be a femme fatale

Where is the femme fatale
Who yearns to be good
I am the nemesis

I desire and dream both...

The Adventures of Jim the Trim- At the Metro

Jim the Trim’s been watching too much video
The kind that caused rise in his libido
Mind still on a femme fatale
Was brought to the hospital
His front was trapped by the doors of the Metro.

Premium Member Feral Feline

O, feral feline, femme fatale
   Her fancy footsteps faintly fall...
..In far-flung forests, in fables tall
                             Winged fairies flutter
                             Flights of fancy enthrall

Femme Fatale

You clipped my wings
You cured my flirt
You blinded my sight
From bevy of beauties.

I'm a toy in your palm
Administered unto your wish
And, like powerful Samson
I'm doomed!

Love,
Sweet bait
Covering a naked hook
The cemetary of my life.

Premium Member Of Tragedy She Would Not Write

     Of imagery in yonder meadow
       she had much to say
     from daffodils on rolling hills
       to ivy covered fences

Yet of tragedy she would not write
        of carnivores contending
for the hoof of a femme fatale
~ She could not bear the ending

Bad Hair Day

One Christmas day when a bald man called Ray,
Gave his femme fatale, a silk negligée.
She whispered, please close your eyes,
While I touch up, your surprise.
But his surprise was a hair piece toupee.

Amaryllis

Amaryllis boasts,
Declaring her love,
Conquests flaunted,
Prideful and beauty,
Tower above,
Look at me?
Deceivingly she calls,
Toxic and poisonous,
Voluptuous flower,
Her femme-fatale,
Expensive perfumes,
Seducing oils
Relaxing massages,
Into her blossom,
Splendour with elegance,
Her victims
Die!

My Jewel

Although not so precious, yet so relevant
Like an alluring-winsome lass it attract
Minutes out of sight a journey never dreamt
Femme-fatale for the pert that draws near to it

Appealing is it work before the gloom’s call
Of an intermit for a jaguar’s travel
When is thy return to cure my ceasing heart?
That soon succumbs to the lifelong wind’s call

Mon raison d'être Your face is more beautiful than the Eiffel Tower at sunrise Our amour seemed real, n’est-ce pas? When I first saw you, I sensed déjà vu Your Mona Lisa smile made me wonder Is she a femme fatale? But when you kicked my shins, I knew that I had made a faux pas I’ll keep my distance from l'objet d'art

Premium Member ingenue

I'm not an 'ingénue' anymore - that’s been vitiated.
I'm not innocent, pure, naive or vulnerable -
which are technically, 'ingénue' requirements
(I don’t make the rules).

That being said, if no one has an objection,
in terms of narrative trajectory, I'd like to be
considered a 'fémme fatale' until further notice.

What Does Poetry Mean To You Contest

Femme Fatale

Poetry, dear, you femme fatale,
Your darkling eyes stoke fantasies
And ruby lips blow memories—
Oh! temptress, you’re enticing me
With beauty ‘neath that sheer peignoir,
Attracting me with luscious lines,
Invoking soft caress of words
While guilt and weakness you evoke
When we create, my joy so deep:
Will you my mistress always be?

Premium Member Winter's Bite

Geese follow a southern flight path, honking as they flee Winter's wrath: warning that She's a psychopath. Autumn's buried without a trace as Winter's fury sets the pace: Her icy winds slapping my face. I feel the sting of Winter's bite, icy cold in Her gown of white: lashing out with all of Her might. Femme fatale: with a heart of ice, Winter is anything but nice: and always levies a high price.

No Bla Bla

No bla bla
I see it in your eyes
Devoured by disguise

No bla bla
It’s in every move you make
It’s in every breath you take

I’ll play the same game
Hiding in your shadow
But you won’t know

What you downloaded
Was a Trojan horse
With no remorse

Femme fatale
I’ll camouflage
In your worst mirage

Payback time
My deserved treat
Revenge so sweet

Danger lurks
In dangerous curves,
A sure perk
For taut greedy nerves.

Danger waits
For that needy space,
A sure bait
To anchor mad trace.

Danger hints
In a tempting lure,
Ponder mint
Of feelings unsure.

Danger farms
As femme fatale stalks,
Arm these arms
For sexy grooves walk.

Danger dams
Pulse of crude address,
Like baked ham
Touch drowns in duress.

Murmurations

she smiles in the shadows
of the dead end street
living her rag doll life
the only femme fatale
of our mannequin town
a midnight detective
going down the low road
a butterfly at the crime scene
alone in the evening breeze
her night talk full of
wallpaper poetry
her velvety voice
singing the drunken bird songs
her troubled mind
full of murmurations.

I’m so happy I could die
lifting her veil in the storm
so let’s dream a little.

Premium Member Nightshade

Femme fatale nightshade bloom
Lustrous pomes sweetly entomb
Heady pungent bouquet
Remedy lover’s grave betray

Come hither, ye toxic potpourri
Banish infernal memory
Florid amethyst grace
Allure belies dual face

Infuse alchemist brew
Terry, not penance due
Smitten vessel begs release
Hasten this affliction peace

Tip chalice to ardor quell
Serenity bids thee back to hell
Notions atone bittersweet
Farewell ebbing heartbeat

“Phero-moans”

Oh, joy
the skunk is back.
No one has seen her
yet all know she’s here.
There is just an air
about her
that turns the head
(and stomach).
She is so cute
that wiggle waddle,
those cute eyes,
fluffy tail,
magnificent
white racing stripe.
Her rather overpowering
femme fatale
pheromonal presence
assaults the unsuspecting.
A sensually aromatic
two by four
come hither.
I think the dog
just had his heart broken.

Premium Member One White Rose

With such feminine flamboyancy
this maiden sways in sassy motion
flashing, flitting, flaming a sweet minuet
beneath a mural of moonlit madness,

her flared gown fair as gemmed feathers
this one white rose, radiantly rising ,
her flight of fancy floating on yard's floor

and like a nubile nymph of nightfall;
she parades with petals on a pageant...

How this femme fatale; a floral rune
glides gaily...such sizzling sensation,
goddess of spring's glossed grandeur!

Premium Member Duel

When near the doomed dark hour drew,
Dreadful deed descended through
The tunnel trap, damp and dim,
Where a duo met at their whim.

Mundane motive - love triangle,
Jealousy jailed in a tangle.
Devoured by its fatal flame
The foes counted steps to aim.

To their demise, both aimed well -
To dire destiny they fell.
Double death that tunnel led
On grim end light never shed.

Femme Fatale kept her heartache
For her future husband’s sake.

Queen of the Night

Of what maze is time-
That a little petal solves?
Blossoming in dim light
Against the cliché it holds

Strong when the ends are-
Seen, weak when the ends are bleak
The tradition of-
Eon a burden long borne

Scents when the mind rest
Bloom when the muscles tremble
Like a ghost it breaks-
Free from solitary cage

As the bud blossoms
Shiny in the midst of trees
Showy it attracts
Femme-fatale but love to me

Zeus among it peers
So blemish like a goddess
Like Ozymandias-
She stands beholding beauty
