When Nature Calls

A young student in high school named Don
badly needed to go to the john;
but in his great haste
he expended his waste
in the janitor's closet, the moron!

Americans On Election Might

?

                expended and exhausted
                electorate, eager egos
                envision, entreat

My Falling

See what beauty life expended
Given to my blessed tree
In my glory colored ended
Lashed the wind has taken me
From my place among my brothers
Flying free until we meet
Tumbled aimless all descending
Prone in honor at your feet

Sex Is Weird

Sex is weird, thinking about the energy expended We slam into a woman repeatedly with a rock hard appendage Says coz we loves her Other motives are stirred Like a primitive explosion that's otherwise unintended? Hmmm...

signs of autumn

Listen to poem:
first taste of cold air
turns leaves to gold expended
autumn casts its spell

mists white-out the dawn
fields are amber, skies are gray
autumn plays tough rules

cold blast goes too far
turns what's nice to stark white ice
fall cedes to winter

Love Unrequited

Love unrequited, so much time wasted
Woman so splendid, what you always wanted
Heart that got busted, wouldn’t get mended
Too much expended, it ended before it started
Feeling so taunted, your mind is haunted
By the memories of your love unrequited

For ATP, my love unrequited

Indian Blankets

In the quiet ebon of morning,
Thoughts arrive as droplets from the sky.
I’ve expended too much of my seventy-nine years,
Waiting on a bus called someday;

Now that the bus has arrived I discover,
I don’t have the price of a ticket,
Indian Blankets don’t populate my meadow,
And my time for planting has passed.

Tranquility

There is a light that is shining
Offering all I want, need
A light I thought expended

It obliterates all of the darkness
This shroud that has encased me
Both spirit and soul

A glow born in a dream
That stayed when the sun rose
And warms me with it’s strength

As I shed this old mantle
And step into your illumination
Tranquility and love surround me

Evaporating Days

My remaining days, Merely a shadow of those expended. It’s as if I’ve floated through time, Aping smoke, born of a match head, Drifting Indiscriminately, Chasing dreams, oft dwarfed by reality, Evaporating days, Auto-bused me to the stop at which I stand; I realize now, that life was truly a vapor, And beyond life, a timeless existence With God.

Melody of Sadness

A saddening song swishes subtly in the bitter breeze,

Mad mournful music meets me everywhere I move,

Like a dolorous dirge drumming through the dark;

Wistful winds wearily bring to mind stinging salt drops,

All energy expended in trying to make sense of this forlorn fusion

As a painfully pensive psalm is penned down
in the ragged remnants of war...

Children At Play

Children rise with sleepy eyes

While the moon and stars are yawning

Sunrise sounds with leaps and bounds

As another new day dawning

Watch them play all through the day

Till their energy expended

Mother's there with love and care

And her open arms extended

With dinner bells and bedtime tales

And no vigor left to borrow

The day is done neath setting sun

Children soon dream of tomorrow

Obsession Part 6

Desperate, I ponder on your death,
scant breath expended twixt the two of us,
and loneliness an ache too harsh to mention.
With pen in hand and no one to subscribe,
I'll never know the softness of your skin,
or search your heart to find what lies within.
Should I be bold, or take a gentler path?
Encourage you... would I incur your wrath?
If you should die I'd never know your truth,
and I would lose the vigour of my youth.

Britches

“Britches” Miracle Man 2/7/2025 Today, his steps have slowed and back is bent, and his days most gone afford slight acclaim. But in thought he relives life without lament, Knowing expended days he cannot reclaim. But his life has been lived with little regret, and memory still retrieves a long passed friend. Today, with issues of health he is now beset, and he contemplates time he’s yet to expend.

Reveal

Reveal

Revealing hidden treasure
Opening to view
Bringing unknown pleasure
Embracing something new

Romance long defended
Thwarting every chance
All the times expended
Movements through the dance

Advancing every dream
Repairing moments past
Inviting as they seem
Erased by Love at last

Kindling the flame
Rapture hard to take
Accepting all the blame
Takes away mistake

Souls embracing last entwine
Ascending to a Love divine

Conundrum

If mass equals energy
why don’t I have more energy?
It seems to happen to me
in inverse proportions.
The more pounds I weigh
the less energy I have.
The less energy expended,
then the more mass!

If I reversed this trend
and expended more energy
I suppose I would lose pounds.
Or, is it the other way around?
If I lose the weight
I will then have more energy?
Whichever it is, weight loss
doesn’t seem to be in
my immediate future.

Life and Time

Life & Time Written: by Miracle Man 2/1/2019 God bequeath us time for His pleasure, So time is something we should treasure. For once we've expended it shant return, So for His work we need to show concern. On fun filled days time seems to fly, And once time has passed we can't retry. On days of drudgery it seems to creep, But nothing changes because we weep. We oft look hinder at some time spent, And for our shortcomings must repent.

Mind Over Matter

Mind Over Matter Written: by Miracle Man 2- 18-2020 There always comes a point in each persons life, when expended days exceed those remaining. I recall youthful days when I had no strife, and there existed no need for my feigning. It's said, tough times don't last, but tough people do, toughness is attitude, much more than a word. Though now I'm older and some things must eschew, a few people think I'm still a "tough old bird". God has blessed!! Tom
