Divorced from my shadow,
estranged from the words
My heart to philander
—new innocence heard
(Dreamsleep: April, 2020)
I sometimes think
The only way out is suicide
But as you drink yourself to death
I only have time to bide

Betrothed
to the moment
Estranged from
the future
Present
to marry
All time
— an affaire
(Dreamsleep: April, 2025)
Estranged from my lover
I leapt to embrace the beggar
For in his face too, I see her

Mentally Deranged
Mentally Deranged;
He and whole world are estranged
Also disengaged.
Sound like some politician you might know?

crazy love screams in
mass of respiration pains
estranged from own heart
as long as there be separation
how then can we ever feel complete
if God and soul tango dance not as one
distanced from His heart our joy will deplete
did we notice
glazed eyes
during the lull
of idle banter
and then embrace
seemingly innocuously
the estranged one
vibrationally
with intent to heal
We had been close then
Time has hurt you and I now
And you're not my friend
We have been estranged
I didn't change for good
But I know I changed

“Why do I write poetry”
You’ll never really wed the verse,

In the distance,
the faces are blurred

Higher and higher you fly
Into the estranged fire
The smoke absorbing into the light
Has given me such a fright!
The more you struggle the less you juggle
In the evenings sight
A soul was comfortable in its brokenness.
Frightened to feel the happiness
that greeted with a smile.
estranged itself into solitude.
may it someday find love or
may it find peace
or both.
Afraid of letting go
Destruction I have caused
Damaging my body
Illegal behavior
Convincing myself it’s okay
Toxic life choices
Estranged I have become
Denying the truth
That I am Addicted.
Unloved
beaten since birth
a prostitute mother
pimp's refusal to pay abort
estranged

your Cinderella act renowned
rolled the years
friendly relations strained
Your star sign estranged
pity donned your smile
making me a stranger in your room
Rainclouds ascendent
mere words never enough
ESTRANGED
estranged
changed
suspended
where angels
fear to tread
imposing
deep thoughts
noises infringe
from the outside
detonating all
within

When my girlfriend got pregnant, everything changed
My name, my address, quite estranged I became
Kept my other girlfriends though
On the basis of need to know
In case others had similar news to exchange
An eerie stillness enshrouds,
the street I lodge in,
lone shadows loiter and lounge,
dark ink creatures peep
wet croak from a gaunt hermit,
slumped on granite bench,
faint cry from flitting figures
estranged by night chill
Vile moods
Crave foods
Crazy
Lazy
Crying
Sighing
Distressed
No rest
Disturbed
Perturbed
Depressed
Obsessed
Monthly
Grumpy
Deranged
Estranged
What’s date?
Month late!
OH NO-
Prego!

When my girlfriend got pregnant, everything changed
My name, my address, my phone number, I became estranged
Kept my other girlfriends though
On a basis of need to know
In case others had similar exciting news to exchange
Gravel roads untill the blacktop came.
What was once home is now foreign.
I left town in emotional rain.
When I came back it started pouring.
This town is my home I can handle the change.
It's on a personal note why I grew up estranged.
solitude...
in a single
sigh,
isolate
in old age:
passive
not tense
somewhat
deserted,
estranged
in the midst
of love..
yet..
sleeping..so
soundly
