estranged from the words

My heart to philander

I sometimes think
The only way out is suicide
But as you drink yourself to death
I only have time to bide

Now Is Forever

Betrothed
to the moment
Estranged from
the future
Present
to marry
All time

as long as there be separation
how then can we ever feel complete
if God and soul tango dance not as one
distanced from His heart our joy will deplete
Form: Rhyme

Premium Member Zen Mode

did we notice
glazed eyes
during the lull
of idle banter
and then embrace
seemingly innocuously
the estranged one
vibrationally
with intent to heal

Change

We had been close then
Time has hurt you and I now
And you're not my friend

We have been estranged
I didn't change for good
But I know I changed

He looks on with glasses. In the distance, the faces are blurred and it only magnifies his deep loss

Hithti

Higher and higher you fly
Into the estranged fire
The smoke absorbing into the light
Has given me such a fright!
The more you struggle the less you juggle
In the evenings sight

May It Find

A soul was comfortable in its brokenness.
Frightened to feel the happiness
that greeted with a smile.
estranged itself into solitude.
may it someday find love or
may it find peace
or both.

Addicted

Afraid of letting go
Destruction I have caused
Damaging my body
Illegal behavior
Convincing myself it’s okay

Denying the truth

Mere Words

your Cinderella act renowned
rolled the years
friendly relations strained
Your star sign estranged
pity donned your smile
making me a stranger in your room
Rainclouds ascendent
mere words never enough

An eerie stillness enshrouds,
the street I lodge in,
lone shadows loiter and lounge,
dark ink creatures peep

wet croak from a gaunt hermit,
slumped on granite bench,
faint cry from flitting figures
estranged by night chill

Change

Gravel roads untill the blacktop came.
What was once home is now foreign.
I left town in emotional rain.
When I came back it started pouring.
This town is my home I can handle the change.
It's on a personal note why I grew up estranged.

solitude...
  in a single
              sigh,
isolate
     in old age:
passive
  not tense
somewhat
              deserted,
              estranged
in the midst
            of love..
yet..
      sleeping..so
                      soundly
old
