Premium Member The Reason Why We Close Our Eyes

The reason why
we close our eyes
whenever we kiss, pray or cry,
is because you are feeling with all of your heart
the true essentials of life.

Premium Member How To Choose a School

Today's college-bound guys and gals
   prioritize the essentials with certitude

The number one factor in choosing a school
~ is the quality and variety of the food

Premium Member Many Crowns of Water

Water wears so many crowns as it rules this kingdom
A warm embrace; frosty chill as it prickles the air
Rejuvenating systems of species as it carves a path
Transporting essentials as it flows about the Earth

Premium Member Poetry Defined

Poetry describes the essence of living. It is the indispensable rhythm to the body of ones work. It will be left up to others to offer verdicts on the essentials that define one as a Poet...

Trump Disgusting and Are Distrusting

Trump Disgusting and Are Distrusting

Trump is both demeaning and disgusting;
Breaking laws and him we are distrusting;
Lacks essentials,
And potentials,
And prefers being livid and women lusting.

You Stood Tall

You stood tall
In the midst of
A crisis and you
Were the last face
That a dying person see
Not having to die alone
You were there as a comfort
Lonely hearts that fought
The good fight because
Of your kindness
And devotion

Premium Member Aleatory Thoughts

impromptu
    light-hearted,
      in vogue:
a genteel
   virtue
      devoid
      of
      the vernacular..
..yet
     straight-laced,
fastidious
       maybe:
the
    essentials
    of life
in
summoned
semantics
of an
illusory
    vacuum

Premium Member A Run Away Life

You get up face this world one leg at a time but oh how you run
always in a hurry yes you scurry but life's essentials you repugn
You walk and talk and move in quick but you dont' hear my cries
nor do you remember the little things, like the color of my eyes.

arteries

I wish you weren't apart of me Traces of you flowing through my arteries Deprived of essentials like a commodity Wish you were someone who fought hard for me Take it all, at least what's left You've burnt this candle from both ends See the light through the plight

Brevity

It's a crime that brevity
is ruined by the boor
who wallows in verbosity
'til I can bear no more!

Be brief in your delivery,
is all that I would stress,
essentials are what's needed
not the ramblings of excess.

If you're prone to be loquacious
best avoid my company;
long-winded dissertations
bring the devil out in me!

Premium Member Elected Neglected

If you come in 'like a wrecking ball'
in your bare essentials,
you must expect
the shrapnel to cut deeper
than the skin,
lest you hide behind 'the party line'.

Politically speaking
if now we are being softened up
for the deep and gruesome cuts
in the budget to come,
then who will save us
when 'our beds are burning'.

When Words Fail

The first glance
After a long awaited chance.
She, in her essentials, bare
So gorgeously fair
In her eyes, a naughtiness gleamed
More in store, it seemed
And so it turned out
Oomph, beauty, passion- all a rout
In her negligee she stood, a red hot thing
Sending my heart & pulse racing
Leaving me stunned and agaped
Words fail, just the image saved.

Earths Birth

In beginning our plant earth was a ball of ice

heat from it's core created a paradise

creating oceans, seas lakes and rivers

fresh water essential life givers

over years earths heart was melted

our planet became splendid

creating pure fauna

beauty no trauma

rich minerals

essentials

frost to

thaw.

Premium Member Conversion

Sacrament of Penance within context of conversion
Sin harms our relationship to Eternal God
Conversion, the beginning of our journey back to Eternal God
Happens in the Sacrament of Penance
There have always two essentials
Acts of penitent
Acts of Father Christ through the ministry of the Church
Conversion must involve the change of hearts
As well as change of actions

Puddles

Three days of summer rain thunder past, on noisy tracks. You smell it, and feel its sprays, from the safety of Grandma’s screened porch. Crickets and grasshoppers replace el-trains and car horns. Mouth full of bubble gum and canvas Chucks on your feet. All of the essentials are present, except the whisper in your ear, which says “Capture this moment. You’re gonna need it in about forty years.”

Criticism

One who
worries about
criticism
too much
ends up as a
Victim
not as a
Victor.

Victor
splits criticism
into essential and
non-essential
He listens all
but chooses to
deal only with
Essentials.

Victim
regards criticism
as a necessary
hurdle to
be surpassed.
He listens all
and wastes time
in finding answers
to each criticism.

Premium Member Purple Is Not An Eye Color 49

49.
So the purple pen bleeds
Like the yelling drunk
Who has had 4 hours to drink
next to the pyramids of lemons
In huge margarita glasses

Blind, deaf, dumb
Sit and think on possibilities
Determine the odds, and plane this field
Your own divinity lies in the plasma of your veins
That may speak essentials to stardust and beyond

But back to you my love.
His blue eyes are brighter than daydreams
And I drown.
