Environmental Legacy

Our lasting legacy lies not,
In the towering stone structures,
But in,
The forests we nurture,
The oceans we safeguard, and
The skies we keep pure.

car fumes went upward
into the air
growing a new tree
A protective ring appeared
an environmental exhaust system revamped
by two twelve-year-old scientists

Module 3

Kicked at it, thought it was just
another cigarette butt
half-buried in street slime—
but it was a small, dead moth,
wings crushed, soft dust sticking
to my rubbery shoe.

Premium Member Environmental Woe

If I would start to cry
could I ever finish
with this pain
my world
this world
every hair feather scale and leaf
every drop in every sea
would have to pour from me
before I could see an end to this
woe
the pain of a world
inside me
