Environmental Woe

If I would start to cry
could I ever finish
with this pain
my world
this world
every hair feather scale and leaf
every drop in every sea
would have to pour from me
before I could see an end to this
woe
the pain of a world
inside me

Everything is connected and so effects us just by our very being; our world; universe, and beyond. But Maureen I really love how you start with the macro and end in the micro of yourself. Great poem.

Definitely topically fitting for today's world Maureen. The sign of a good poem that will last through the ages. Thank you.

This one's probably 15 years old and still as true today. Thank you Jeff. x

You have a very elegant and strong means to express yourself. So, for a short while tonight, you have come into my heart and mind and made me think of things in a slightly different way than I would have otherwise. You are an artist and I consider myself so lucky to have been able to see and read some of your work. Thank-you so much and I hope you will continue to share your wonderful work here.
