Gehry and the Whale
with an architect known as Gehry
his titanium sails were so scary
if viewed by a whale
that would likely entail
a blow then a massive Hail Mary....

Headaches Would Entail

He always seemed so weak and frail;
Headaches and heartache did entail;
Source unknown,
When alone,
While poor performance would fail.

Introspected Abcs
a burdened charity dost entail
faux generosity habitually inhaled

jaunts, keepsakes left macerated
nothing omitted, personally quantitated

reason sifted through ubiquitously
vehement will yearned zealously...

Independence Brawl
Abandon your party
stand up for what’s right
The partisan madness
a liar’s delight

Honor the founders
revolt and derail
The graft and corruption
— both factions entail

Epilogue sustaining

Entrancing new order

Entail mind body soul

Ebb high free flowing tides

Etch out dawning cycles

An Emergency She Did Entail
An Emergency She Did Entail

This is what happened.
Was congestive heart failure
caused by pneumonia. Seems
to be latest thing.

She had started appearing frail and pale,
And several tests she would seem to fail;
Did worry;
Had to hurry;
Now in hospital when emergency did entail.

Seldom is my heart cherished
Often on my troubles so embarrassed
But my hope stands alive
And my presence is in awe
For the blessings that entail
Those blessings that enthrall me, call me to the mercies of Jesus

Soothing Tear
Rippled down the cheek of a timely whimper
Gracefully tending to her blackened eyes
I cried from a tear once last simper
In the darkened entail of solemn cries

I wandered down her trembled complexion
Forever longed her crimson kiss
One last taste of my sensual affection
Hoping our meeting will be time's lasting bliss...

Shame is a feeling I do avoid.
Too often, something like it has me, destroyed,
and yet, to be a better man,
I must look at myself as best I can,
and that may entail shame.

I look at myself, not to blame,
but to grow, to not be the same,
and yet to know I'm ever flawed,
eschewing pangs which on me gnawed,
my best self to reclaim....

Draft thee, Oh fated courage read as go
that headstrong empathy must not confound
wait out the dormancy's entail, be slow
as cold the Winter's stalling, ounce by ounce!

That silent purge so white the fields of snow
as underneath man knows the ground's extent
the seasons bustle, advocate not stow
cold thrives on nature's retrogressed relent!...

Charming Patterns
Charm the waves,
Entail algorithms of templates,
Subclass the seasonal stripes,

Smash this tasteless flame stitch.
A chevron turning into an imperial damask.

Intarsia the charming argyle in this rotunda.
Rub the blotch off the bull's eye,
Collage the camouflage in this calico assemblage.

Chintz in the heart, chequer in the mind,
Charming Patterns....

Bounce
Beg not assumption - not entail
that love for Thee does not assail
but wears Faith proudly to exhale
receding not my own avail!

Love's holding on, measured by ounce
does not wear time as captioned flounce.
Forever biding, stealth not pounce
as waiting, tithe the absenced mount.

Now's detriment - as weight denounce -
Love's measure lightens - bounce by bounce!...

Words Fail Me
Intellect in disarray,
Eloquence falls short, again.
You, perfect picture, in my mind’s eye,
Words often fail when they aim to describe.

I look in every lexicon,
Delving into dictionaries,
Empty out encyclopaedias,
Thumbing through the thesauri...

I conclude no words compare to you,
Descriptions weak and rarely true.
No word does justice, phrases fail
To truly tell what you entail....

Change In The Wishing
Is thinking sufficient
to turn us around

Cerebral in nature
as problems surround

For thousands of years
our nose to the stone

We’ve battled our nature
and mostly we drone

The answers elude us
the questions forbear

While sins of our fathers
live on in the air

The harder we toil
the greater we fail

All change in the wishing
— our fortunes entail

No Boundaries
Love does not entail defense of oneself
Involving pity or fear
Negaholism manifests it's ugly self again
Ever so sight but surely no need

Certain not knowing what to say, think or do
Rain falling down hard, it came on so fast, no umbrella to keep us safe
Out there all alone each of us stand, neither one reaching out a hand
Suffering heartache
Solitude and sorrow
Every day for a week
Does day light ever come?...

Astonishing self-assured warrior.

Rough acts entail his mettle and intrepidity.

                             Idoneous healer, he uses dauntlessness.

Effervescent, impulsive optimist, he is a torchbearer.

Self-confident, he is socially skilled and insightful.

Heart:Heart
Sit down my dear friend,
Allow your heart to mend.
Let me tell you of this tale
Of what love has to entail.
Within the depths of your heart
Lies God's divinity; an holy art.
You may or may not know
Of the feelings it has to show.
A spectrum from bliss
To all the bitterness.
Within this one on one,
You'll see love has won.
For it's the way of eternity
In this life of infinity.
Now sip from the Holy Grail,
I promise, hatred will not prevail....

Lady of the North
Child of the Northern Lights
Blown in on a winter gale
Dance with the Stars at Night
High as the Moon and as pale.

Deep are the Oceans you sail
On curious shores to alight
Your footsteps in sand entail
Revelation – a secret revealed

Understanding remaining concealed
Your journey has barely begun
And the wounds that are still to be healed
Require further exposure to Sun

Align your keel, Northward at the Meridian
Tilt sail and oar, to infinite viridian...

Betrayal
Betrayal

While sending out this email
Surely felt a sense of betrayal
From those in America who live
And find them hard to forgive
What will the future entail.

Jim Horn

As a retired veteran Trump is a slap in the face.
Wonder how Captain Khan's parents are accepting
all of this

May Be Resented

If by no one was I consented
Catch disease, may be prevented
To ballot box had proceeded
By Hillary was badly needed
Gave up and Trump relented.

Real Estate Section
In the Sunday paper, I can't wait
To read the section "Real Estate."
From articles that do entail
Descriptions of the homes for sale
To stories of where folks have looked,
I'm riveted and really hooked.

I check the prices, note the taxes,
Find the parks where one relaxes;
Scan the photos for decor,
Observe each window, roof and door.
I try to picture living there
And how that lifestyle might compare.

You'd think I'm aiming for improving.
What's ironic? I'm not moving!...
