Coffee Fashion

Coffee emblazoned locks

Descend in lovely fashion

Appetizing

Latte textures alluring

Suave aromas howl

My Lonely Mind

My lonely mind
It cannot forget you
Your ways
Your mannerisms
So emblazoned in my brain
Deeply seeded
To grow new memories
And new thoughts
To pollute my mind
With images of you
And the way things were

A Universe Sang

A universe sang stars awake one day; and fired up, they dreamed. Life grew; emblazoned bliss set celestial seas, on fire. Heavens alight with dancing eyes; gave proud birth to endless sky.

Exotic Lady With Surreal Flowers

Her exotic brunnette hair,
Flows,
With her long gypsy,
Skirt,
Emblazoned,
With surreal flowers,
As she sashays,
Through the beaded,
Light,
To the sweet chimes,
To relax,
Carefree,
Upon the rose velvet couch

Burning Love

Emblazoned on my heart
Seared into my soul
The fire of love burns within
Please don’t extinguish
This fire in my soul
Don’t add another scar
To my tortured heart
Scar upon vivid scar
Keep the embers aglow
Let our love forever burn

Autumn's Dream

AUTUMN'S DREAM

If I were the month of Autumn
I know my dream would be
To remain emblazoned on the countryside
In the leaves of every tree

Alas! I must relinquish
My dream to winter's snow
Waiting patiently for Spring time
For more leaves on me to grow

Temples of Candlelight

Without pause, she chased questions beyond shifting, twilight moods.
A flickered breath, an emblazoned soliloquy drifted aflame,
Later, I showered her with temples of candlelight and roses

Dreams and Nightmares

Such wonderful dreams I’ve had
And terrible nightmares so bad
Each having permeated my Soul
A spiritual message board beyond my control

They put me on a razor’s edge
As a personal silk screened pledge
Emblazoned across my chest
To ponder and interpret at my bequest.

The Abode

There was a sunny spot in my eye,
a region of riots and ripples,
a cause for resplendence
in mosaic mysteries
and myriad myths;
Tendrils and creepers,
ivies and myrtles
and an emblazoned bliss…

There was a sunny spot in my eye,
beyond the honeydews,
the hills and the hedges,
that nestled the we;

the you and the me…

Sweet Serenade

Leaving home for work one day
  serenaded by a tuneful jay

Walking down a garden lane
once more came his sweet refrain

Glancing over my right shoulder
my friend was following, ever bolder

His song emblazoned on my mind
the blue jay crooned with voice so kind

That as I opened my workday door
I regretted that he sang no more

Emblazoned

Rise Oh Sun! Your muted passage holds me possessed
In passing beams of brilliant poetic imagery obsessed
In the stream of dreams moving light to darkness to call
On this point of wakeful art where headlands rise and fall

At Sunset

inside with my friend
she takes orders at other tables
before coming back to me
outside silhouettes burnt
against orange skies
neon lights in windowpanes
when the day fades
a friendship of years
passing conversations
the day contained in sentences
she stands near
moments of silence
near the front door
I wait for words emblazoned
setting fire to our world

Secret Eyes

Emblazoned down deep in my secret eyes,
choking on so intense a connection;
Thoughts I am unable to verbalize
rambling words are my only reaction;
Lingering symptom of this infection;
I have gotten used to breathing shallow
sweating shivering with energy flow;
Victim of all your sensuality;
Devilish virus masked with a halo
the hero of half written tragedies.

That Crazy Window Ledge

You say I'm crazy to
Hold onto love or recognition
But my insanity insists on
Wearing you like a decoration
There's a weary window ledge
Once held a set of footprints
Emblazoned with some bleak knowledge
Of hopeless resignation
A thought or two to lift me up
I'm thinking
You're not the end of the story
Merely one short chapter
That's all that keeps me off that
Ledge

The Olympic Spirit

A long time ago, grandpa told me
amateur athletes crossed oceans and paid the fees

Every four years a noble spirit arose
emblazoned on a torch, fiery and free

A spirit clear, shining bright and true
the Olympic spirit, one that cut through

The claptrap of power, regulation and rules
crossing the finish line in brotherhood

Old Glory

Unfurled in magisterial splendor
To minds memory forever render
Glorious vision of red, white, and blue
Steadfastly waving, our hearts to renew
Emblematic embodiment we embrace
Thirteen stripes of valor, purity, and grace
Vigilance, justice, emblazoned by blue
Fifty white stars twinkle in united hue
Flying in freedom, tell our nations story
Liberties bulwark, our flag, Old Glory!

Forgiving Isnt Forgetting

Forgiving Isn’t Forgetting Written: by Tom Wright 7-25-2016 We’ve oft times said that we forgive, But reflections, we frequently retain. We methodically bring back to relive, As if emblazoned within our brain; Hopefully, forgiveness comes in time, For things which we hold in reserve; While we feel subjected to a crime, That’s often better than we deserve.

Silver Bride

Winters moon called to the dark
Silver light shining
down on her

Bride to be, crafted with magics embrace
Runic lines emblazoned
under the stars

No warmth to be found in the cold
Glistening lips of shining
metals icy touch

Bare and naked before the fire of the forge
Burning desire to touch once more
my silver bride

Sweet Release

An evening pink casts ripples from afar
Where lovers dip into a pool of rain
Emblazoned by some hundred fleeting stars;
As whispers blow on raindrops to proclaim
The height of a thrill in hours unrestrained.
Upon the sail of leaves that binds wrapped kiss
The pearl-like drops guide hands in sweet release.

What Does Peace Look Like

What does peace look like
Is it trouble whisked away
By decree, resolution or motives
Wilting between friends and foes
Is it displacement, you or they
Setting or conclusion
Manufactured into escape
From heat or fret
Is it paradise found or lost
Kodachrome or monotone
Thrown into our laps
To suckle gently
Or is it the simple of simple
Like the silence, then rain
Played upon the sky emblazoned.

In His Image Made - Dog Vs Man

Years back his most loyal friend drew his last breath
His four-legged 'Pal' met the Angel of Death

Lovingly, did he place his tail-wagger in his earthly grave
Under a heart-emblazoned stone, farewell he waved...

Now his turn to meet his Maker has come around
Yet he has no interest in a burial in the ground

It's cremation for him, ashes scattered to the wind
Leaving the Almighty perplexed and chagrined

The String Player

Your bow - my violin we do unite

on rhythmic notes of ecstasy we fly

entwined our heartstrings vibrate through the night -

emblazoned love songs burn across the sky.

Serenity Smiles Out...

A true serenity
Washes over me
Now I've seen your eyes
And forever emblazoned
Our smiles signify
A renewal of love
An understanding
So before
Washed away
By the past
And whatever lived there
The past
Is now our past
And all the years
Ahead
I see in our smiles
And our calmness
Our arms
Wrapped
Morphed
Into each other
A moment in time
Captured
In a photo
But speaking
A thousand
Words
I love you...

Eyes of Green By Ron Porter

in my heart you
reign as queen
purple haired goddess
with eyes of green
each orb emblazoned
with golden star
so much you give
so much you are

water in the desert
honey from the rock
solace to a hurting heart
the Balm of Gilead
rest when i grow weary
shelter from the storm

in times of drought-
refreshing rain
in days of famine-
a feast,? ?in ample store
all of these things
your love to me brings
all of these
and so much more

Silent Honour

It's Poppies, poppies o'er the land,
stuck fast to collars; prickled hands.
Blood red, emblazoned, filled with pride,
A poppies heart shall never hide!

Poppies, poppies; our best, our brave,
The fallen ones we could not save.
Instead, they marched ahead to cheers,
We love them always, shedding tears.

Poppies, poppies, share our feelings,
Standing tall, we pray for healing.
Fathers, Mothers, sons and daughters,
We stand for all; silent honour.
