Sweet Serenade

Leaving home for work one day
  serenaded by a tuneful jay

Walking down a garden lane
once more came his sweet refrain

Glancing over my right shoulder
my friend was following, ever bolder

His song emblazoned on my mind
the blue jay crooned with voice so kind

That as I opened my workday door
I regretted that he sang no more

So sweet and gentle, like a crooning blue jay - I don't like blue jays though... they eat all the corn if you plant it :) Love and prayers

Thanks for the tip. Now I know to feed that blue jay corn if he follows me into the office. Happiness and Joy, Gershon

I am shocked because if there is one bird whose song is un-pretty to me it has to be the blue jay crow or woodpecker.

Could be you're right, but 'jay' rhymes with 'day!' lol. Smiles for Miles, Gershon
