no one talks about
the elephant in the room
grazing on silence

The Elephant In the Room
His steps are heavy
Yet he is invisible
The panic sets in

Take him for a walk
Leave him some where safe and sound
To find his own way

The grey, dreary, day
Sputtering and spurting now
Big crocodile tears...

Lifes Like Film
I say life is like film
And not for the hellof it
Because you must go through the negatives
Before you begin your development
If there's an elephant in the room
That i can see
I'm bringing it up, putting it down
And yanking out all the ivory...

She may be petite
or large...not the point;
Moms are Republicans;
she may have small feet...
or large – either way,
hurt their children
and they step heavy –
Democrats to-rue-the
day, they turned from
the peoples' good to
pay-to-play – the ultimate
maleficence. The Devil's
            acolytes.......

The Pitfalls of Insurance
If you make a claim
they freely raise the annual fees
and then they confound the issue
with talk of a depressed market
and rampant inflation
I wanted to change horses
but realised the claim we had made
would make our insured sum more expensive
I felt their snide behaviour
There was an elephant in the room...

For Folk Than Never Felt Different
John Merrick names us animals
The elephant in the room
Only seems to grow
The third instalment
i give you a tagline
The world end war
Standing in the past on virgin shoreline
Pushing the evolving terrestriality back in
Why do we feel so alone
because we deserve to be
Long live the weeds
that choose where it can grow...

Some Elephants Are Just Mean
Wet from my shower with no chance to groom
I addressed the elephant in the room
Why so long a trunk
He said like your junk
It just can't be any shorter I assume

I tried to soften, the bite of his critique
By attempting to turn the other cheek
Like my cat rose
I booped his nose
He knocked me into the middle of next week!...

The Nuclear Issue
The Nuclear Issue.
There they sit the high and mighty
And their lackeys it is serious
Business, who can have them and
Who cannot have them.

How important they are these
People who dare not think or whisper
About the elephant in the room, yet
It sits there glaring for all to see.

Confirm or not to confirm, we know
They have it. Will this conference fail?
Most likely, the enemy of a deal only
 Wants total surrender....

The Elephant
Believe no word I say;
Just watch what I do.
No matter how I try
I can't hide it from you.

I'm a coward.
To numb the pain
I devour my self-esteem,
Cover my eyes,
And avoid mirrors.

The larger I become
The less of me you see.
I blend into the room;
I become the couch.

Maybe this is what I hoped for,
But I don't know for sure.
I'm the elephant in the room--
I would leave this hell
But I don't fit through the door....

Elephant-Girl
Suddenly,
Heartbeat trumpeting in my throat,
Her presence,
It does that to me, sometimes,
I force myself to
To neutrality, absurdity, mask,
We talk,
I remain, the elephant in the room,
I talk,
No one mentions that I am the elephant in the room,
I remain,
Iron cored neutrality,
Masked girl,
Forever masquerade,
Questions set me grasping for straws at the end,
Each day,
Best friends, always,
My heart still beating in its cage....

Elephant
There’s an elephant in the room
He lets me know not to assume

He fast forwards, determining fate
He rewinds, finding the faulty gate

He can see me but I can’t see him
He can see the wick burning dim

I am an imposter of this person called me
I know he knows what isn’t honesty

This elephant has taken control
Hands on the reigns he has taken his toll

I lay restless upon this darkened hour
Stripped of my already lifeless power...

Valentine's Day 2015
Valentine’s Day 2015
An odd way to spend it,
At Hospice watching Nana sleep,
This room becoming our world
On a rotating basis.
Right now there’s me
And Nana and IT
The elephant in the room.

The doctor said IT could come anytime.
The nurse said everybody’s different,
And IT can be different, too.
The family structure never the same
When our strong matriarch succumbs to IT
Death, the elephant in the room.

The Elephant
There's an Elephant in the room.
The tension filled the air all day,
Neither party dared to assume,
Dismay held sway in its gloomy way.

There's an Elephant in the room,
One could almost smell the beast
It permeated all throughout,
It needed clearing at the very least.

So if you find yourself in this state,
Declare the problem before it's too late.
Sort it out before it has chance to consume,
For no one likes an Elephant in the room.

It’s time to address the elephant in the room
Time to talk about the controversial “Mushroom”

A vegetable you either love or hate
An acquired taste there is no mistake

Being a fungi doesn’t enhance the mushrooms case
Along with a rubbery texture many don’t embrace!

It’s been said that the mushroom tastes just like dirt
When did eating dirt ever hurt?!!

Such a wide variety of mushrooms to ingest
Though haters say s**t -ake describes mushrooms best!!

I love Mushrooms……!...
