Entangled
We came together.
It was a fight. I won
then lost.
Love tangles winners and losers.
Limbs tangle,
struggle,
climax inside an eggshell.
We won
but not each other....

While Walking
While Walking

While walking heard crunching of an eggshell
And some story about it had started to tell,
On edge may be;
We started to see;
From tall wall egg shattered after it fell.

.a Cracked Eggshell.
A broken mirror reflecting
all my imperfections.
A giant blade that's cutting me into
many different sections.
rip out my heart, bastard.
throw it on the floor.
destroy it on the count of three.
and i will beg for more.
for more....

Fragile Heart
I am scared
of this heart so fragile
of this heart so weak
infirm
like an eggshell
frail and brittle is my heart
easily broken
quickly shaken
please do not nibble
blood will dribble
and the heart will break
and love will turn to pain.

A Cold, Cracked Eggshell
My heart shattered glass
My eyes twin rain clouds
My sleeves wet rag cloths
My sobs persistent freight trains
My fingers frozen ice
My surroundings a blurry dream
I make the corners of my lips curve up for the people around me
Even though I myself is a cold, cracked eggshell
Only barely held together....

Premium Member Blank Slate Man
A room's whites cry loud
Still sound fills it with endless echo
No thought, no audible breath, no
Perspective
This view too is
Outside perceivable depth
Only a snowy canvas
Full of emptiness to reveal
The plan
Grab a roller
Pour the can, and
Paint myself eggshell
Now I am the blank slate
Man...

Land of Quinogins
Land of Quinogins was better than a hell
'Cause they left a penny in a big eggshell
                                            The egg was quarky
                                              Flavor was murky
It spun like a bun in Susie's funnytail...

Eggshell Heart
See this heart
fragile like an eggshell
it’s been to Hell and back
and is slowly fusing back together
handle it with care
because she never did
she was never there
See this heart
fragile like an eggshell
Treat it well
like she never could
like she never wanted to
See this heart
fragile like an eggshell
please don’t bid it farewell
as easily as she did...

Premium Member Pitiful Pits
You dig
pit
after
pit
after
pit.
Then wonder why nobody comes around.
The few that tiptoe into your eggshell world
are only there to use you...

In greener years you were just another cutter
graduating to just another pit digger...

Blood or not, I'll not dance in your self-inflicted pits..
I'll just sidestep the "hole" mess and say happy digging....

Winter Fields of Laois
Winter Fields Of Laois

Wind song whispered
between drystone wall and hawthorn
morning cold stiffening face and fingers
every clod-n-sod is an obstacle,
my head bowed like a bull
turning to look down the hill
moments pain and reflection.
A bitter droning voice
pressing coat to spine...
now curved as an eggshell
Above the trees a crow
a raggy dancer on the wind
is driven by the music
and rises...

Premium Member Grief Cuts Deep
My emotions are running raw right now
Like an eggshell, cracked and ready to crumble
Good days are fewer now as sadness suffocates
Memories are like hot embers burning my hands
Beautiful ones, stinging my heart, my psyche
I want to go back a year ago, have more time
I am trying to make sense of my life and go on
My safe foundation has crumbled and may fall
I need to be strong and hope for sunny days again...

Hope and Light
I gather up
the pieces of
my heart like
a shattered
light bulb

I sweep every
little bit of
eggshell-thin glass
up with my hands
some of the pieces

cut my hands and
make them bleed
but I need every
single piece
I sit at a table

and reassemble
the broken glass
jigsaw puzzle
that was my heart
painstakingly

with glue and
tweezers and
a magnifying
glass because
if I get it just

just right the
light bulb may
light again...

My Friend the Wall
My friend the wall has once again come to call.
The sound it makes when I make mistakes.
Is really no sound at all.
It's there to hear the words I write.
Whether during the day or late at night.
The blankness of it's eggshell stare.
Reminds me that there's no one there.
It's up to me to speak this time.
Could speak plainly, but prefer rhyme.
Yes my friend the wall has come to call.
And so I'll answer it and give my all.

Billions Fall from My Eyes
One great thing - is essentially -
like any other great thing.

They all fly from the same center,
not an anatomical space,
not a specific thingness,
but one revealed goldmine
overpouring.

What did I see,
what do I see?

Butter,
you buttering toast,
your hair all muzzy from sleep.

Yellow sunlight on the kitchen counter.
The blue plate
that has no ready words,

yet speaks for the billions,
that shine from
the one yellow yoke,
in its broken eggshell.
