Desultory winds
chimera in throes of doubt
effusive, disconsolate
-clanging in hills stout-
Ductile mind bends sound.
virtuoso of the void—
sweet, zoetic, browned
my mouth eats silence
watch its words, calorie counters.
its portly lips compact,
deft, effusive, fulsome,
potent, quixotic,
resounding.
key instrument
of joy and peace,
warbling melodies,
telling my story
The cloud-filled sky
hides the day...
rain drips
liquid life...
the field in celebration
embrace the blessings
with effusive joy...
Satisfied by the gift I remain,
but sad a little
because the rain brings me
other memories...!
Bookstores were my life’s mooring
Where my spirit felt both shy and effusive
Shy, bashful, a girl wearing her heart on her sleeve,
Effusive, flowing about the pages – impulsive,
Resisting the urge to plow through the words
Without indulging in the crisp scent of this new novel.

An effusive reflection of prose from the poet’s pen
Strokes of grace and luxuriant sentiments fly free
Embracing temperance like sapphire blooms of brilliance
Caressing the canvas most liberating, and significantly
Like clouds drifting in delicately hued cascades
Metaphorically silent within its ethereal afterglow.
A spirited moon
'neath furtive glances,
anguished mid despair
looked upon hushed
entangled constellations
and heeded a warning,
for he knew well of lavishing
recherché intricacies,
mattered naught how exquisite,
nothing lasting could come
of liaisons's effusive grandeur,
betwixt clandestine stargazers
Dang, you're gone.
You're really gone?
Andrea says so and she's no liar.
All your effusive
romantic
over-the-topness.
Frantic, fearless, forever flighty,
fabulous, ferocious for-realness.
Gone.
Waiting for the rest of us.
