poesy curse of hanging fruit strings
a pool topped up to the brim
will spill over
to
endless
drips
of
drivel
slops
I’ve tried to wrap my arms around the drivel
that any war might be deemed ‘civil’
~ the only term that comes to mind is evil
when the seven-ten
row's worth a throw of the
rice then the spice may be
loaded with sauce from some
bones rolling slowly up-
hill to a pinhead too
nice not to topple
Launched
pea-
nuts
take a
long time to
hardly even fake
making a weird bounc-
ing effort
once they
hit
the
glow-
ing showroom
floor.
I said to myself: ‘You deserve more
than the drivel you’ve put up with.’
Walked in, no expectations.
This club? Just an escape.
One weaponized wink
froze me in place
purring ‘I’ll
be your
prize.’
Alas, no words can I on
this parchment write,
Just meaningless drivel
falls from my pen!
And I, miserable poet,
Shouts to my Muses, three,
Not how, but when, shall
This madness cease!

wood
that the river should have known
could change was near
to where the bottle
bound
for slow boat sound-
ing deep water
released its first long monologue
under a brand new sand name
fast
knight shady resurrection is implied in
first time hear-
ing sound chase hounds a-
round besotted worlds on a string-
y
free and translucent branded horse
high pendejo
Dare I deign, or faintly feign
A focal point of interest?
Imbibe, implore- inquest for more
When you tell the world your business?
Why not try and leave a crumb
For Imagination's sake?
All the drivel leaves me numb
In Information's Wake...
(With garfidious apologies to Lewis Carroll. :-) )
That Jabberwocky poet sure controppled
A sinterful of words that perkly swoppled.
Though many mukters viewed them all as drivel,
I greath to say they skrayed a lot of grivel.
To hell with your hollow benediction.
Faulty.
Water shivers as the brass bell
just rings.
Drivel never comes from the soul.
Empty.
It’s blasphemy to be so utterly void
of fact.
I’m going to call a spade a spade..
Sinner.
I’ve had enough
Anger is all that is felt
Arguing turns to mindless yelling
What’s being said
Mindless drivel
Solving nothing
Causing more heartache
Making headaches
Puking the sadness
Tears filled with anger
Problems left unsolved.
Each is but a sales tout,
but sadly some have clout.
And they ne'er go without.
With buzz words they do shout
then drivel do they spout.
We all know without doubt
their cronies haul 'em out
when their own rules they flout.
Each is but a sales tout.
we balanced along
The embankments edge,
And past the Dead Dog Tree.
The view from the eyes that
Flew above aerials hum
Left us down in the gravelled
Crawl. Scratch and tap among
The ash heaps and the concrete
Cracks. Left to lie in the
Heart of the seldom sun.
We don't need such drivel..Rather genuine
Ed-u-cation classes of fifteen children the
Max will create better results..Than
Other cheap hacks.' Under conteporary
Systems..We note results.' Wonder much
Longer.. somethings at fault.? Is it the
Said-u-cation being taught?
To
this blue
lawn
came
the lutenist
Thulia whose
snow
belt whistled "WEALTH!" to town-
ish bullies bent on howling down the
bowl-
ing hall of whatnots just arrived
for Beast or Plunge Day.
Cerise took a bite of the cherry
ground her teeth on the pip
a kernel of truth searching salvation
conditioned to drivel and drool
Salvador handed her a spittoon
to release the rest of the lies

Listen to poem:
fly flitting on wall
listens to loose tongues babble
spinning prayer wheels
flinging barbs at absent foes
behind walls, out of earshot.
Soon the fly grows bored
of vain drivel chasing tales
sense left long ago—
so it slips out open pane
to sense truth in rubbish bins
The ink has dried, musings shrivel
Inspiration flow dead
Words we form, puerile drivel
Emotes best left unsaid
We wish to but cannot
Bound in a narrow slot
Ego thought comes to naught
Our time we bide
The ink has dried

Quietus
Melancholic drivel, gravitating stammer
Mosaic affinity, reticent clammer
Gushing droplets and whimpered dawn
Hindering clarity, vanquished, withdrawn
Trembling masquerade, deserted palm
A cleaved cradle, posing qualm
Seeping sorrow, hoping consider
Bequeathing dainty, wishing deliver.
My sister called and read me
mundane lines of teenage angst
which came from a diary.
I laughed and called it drivel.
Where did she find such a thing?
She then revealed she found it
in my old dresser drawer.

by an
elf-select-

of tainted heavenly heads cas-
ing
joints out of time enough to curse
ever
spiteful sets of
Twins born
right on the cusp

Simple squamous epithelium
That lines the frothing orifice
Of politicians and wine-soaked braggarts
Cytoplasm
That flows equally
In justice and infectious regurge
Genes
That transplant the ghastly
Pale-light abscess of custom-made drivel
God, Ph.D., you too?
I invented a poetic form
a staggeredrhymefreeversecouplet
with Sonnetic meter.
And as with many inventions
despite my good intentions
it failed to entice the muse
who claimed it was keyboard abuse.
Yet in my haste i still scribble
keen thoughts that turn into drivel.

I would love to write for you,
An epic poem about something new.
Every time I search my mind,
There’s nothing new that I can find.
So, I’ve penned some rhyming drivel.
But, before you whine, scoff, and snivel.
Pay attention to the wisdom I now impart.
The greatest failure of man; is the failure to start!
