Blacksmiths make a horse's shoes.
That's certainly not news,
but who do you suppose
made the horse's nose...
so far out of proportion,
a preposterous distortion?

Disturbing Distortion

As the world grows distorted and unsorted,
Guard your heart from gathering and hoarding.
Stay grounded in truth, separating the lies,
Seeking and asking for wisdom that steadies and clarifies.

INTERPRETATION

 metaphorically
of thoughts
in the
 persistance
of
memory
once
perceived
in
gestures
of
spontaneous
innocence

this
necessity
in the
   constraint
of convention
  of events
in
 a distortion
 of desire

A Shot of Vanity

Social media shenanigans
do learn nay to take seriously
seldom do they add any value
Distortion of reality a tool
readily applied in an arena
where aesthetics rule
over brains and decorum

Day Dreaming

day dreaming
picturesque
scenery created
within the wounding
mind's eye
dreamscape of
mental illusions
mind games played
within the subconscious
generating falsehoods
passing fairy tales
of as personal reality
mental distortion

Your Great " I Am "

And there you stand
with your hands on hips
telling the world why.
You liar; misguided fool.
Part of you is lost
suppressed in infinite
to be found with your great I AM;
free of distortion.
You will feel your pure pain;
the lot you were given.

When Love Sleeps

love is awake
it does not rest
but a broken heart needs to sleep when
distortion of truth chars upon the arteries
of love that nourished the heart.

trust must not rest
its vital to sustain love,
when love is not awake
a heart will find comfort and sleeps.

Guzzle Down Puzzle Before It Does Fizzle

when we would guzzle
great and astounding puzzle
was sure to fizzle

solution resolved
around answer revolved
while we were involved

about abortion
always out of proportion
also distortion

had been a dump cluck
when we became put of luck
out steering wheel stuck

Distortion

They kill for their namesake
Blinded with visions of righteousness
Mirrored with images of self
Sanctifying, with daggers plunging deep
Crowds gather in loyalty
Massed in fear, assembled in hatred
Adherence to dogmas of a farsighted kind
While master deceivers bloom like orchids

The Truth Behind Hate

If Love is blind,
Hate is deaf.
Unable to hear optimism and open minds.
A barrier between reality and distortion.
Truth and Humbleness blocked by the brick wall of stupidity,
A world full of envy and strife,
Selective hearing,
Picking and pruning through the good,
Just to find the bad,
Pain = Hate.

Thought

My head is spinning fast,
as I am tumbling down.
Troubles are coming fast,
as I try to choke them down.
Suffocate on the distortion.
In my mind's eye, misery abides.
In my charred, beatless heart,
your words emphasize lost hope.
My fear and your faith...
undeniable friendship...
my solitaire release.

With Trump Became Terrified

With Trump Became Terrified and Horrified

With Trump we had become terrified
How long will he have lied and lied
Telling them in dynamic proportion
And thrown in jail due to distortion
Threw away key and he cried and cried.
