Blown Away
a Mystic candle
enamouring Fire
             is so light --

shimmering tenuously
lurching shadows
            and listening

intensely disinterested
neither attracted
             nor compelled --

only
waiting
with storms all around...

Flying Solo
I’m apathetic,
Unaffected:
Flying solo, I’m disinterested.
I see my sins that must be corrected,
is it too late for this to be perfected?

So I’ve elected,
to be tested
and retrieve what I have so neglected.
I abused what I should’ve respected,
this terminal decline must be arrested....

I tried to draw the attention
of the disinterested God
who builds the weather.

“Send us snow - just a few feet
make our Christmas fantasy complete”
I pleaded, but she never interceded.

Angels, that will-less posse of hers
only seem to watch earth’s slaughter
as the wind carries a warm disregard....

seeing
    shadows
   in
fading
      memory
disinterested
                thoughts
          a graceful
       love
besides
       a place:
a condition
      awakened
      with a cry
      surrounded
      dancing
to a measure :
a vague
single image
     remembered
admired
forever

tribute inspired by Ashphode...

Premium Member A Blank Face
A blank screen faces a writer
   Intimidating
   All that open space
What are the writer's odds?

A blank face stares dully at the psychiatrist
   Unwavering, unblinking
   Unengaged, uncomprehending
Where does the psychiatrist even begin?

A child looks vacantly at an empty plate
   Listless, disinterested
No expectation of food on it
   Not today, not tomorrow...

Challenging Concepts 2may2022
I
The purpose of death is to understand life.

II
We can learn from death by letting go ... Of materiality, and observing nonchalantly ...

III
We practice being a "disinterested" observer of death & dying ... By accepting it's a door, not an exit, and finding Nature's balance in taking back

IV
Humor? Death is how nature takes back and recycled all we ate on this planet! It's fair to life...

Magic
Glassy, green eyes
Narrowing in on me,
The gaze: raw, piercing.

First, fierce
Then disinterested.
Back to sleep,
Curling into a soft, impenetrable mound
Atop the couch.

I relax, following his lead.
All is well: after all, he's Just a cat,
A pet
Possessing no strange powers.

Yet, red eyes in the dark stir in me:
Some magic is going on here,
He, the keeper of the secret,
Can never disclose....

You Are Mine
When you look at me and wink
I try so hard not too blink
I don’t want too miss that wink
I look disinterested but that’s what you think

I thought nothing was safe
so i put my heart in a safe
I gave my heart too you
yes this is true

You took care of it
you didn’t hurt it
you aren’t like the rest
you are the best

You are mine
but you have a lot too find
i’m not the average girl
so you are in for a whirl...

Elitist Objective
Impenetrable collectives of treasonous scum
Thirsting upon the blood
and powerless state
of innocent bystanders

Empowered by delusions of grandeur
and disinterested in notions of compassion
Forming an intricate web of exploitation
and unwarranted influence

Perusing the globe with a concealed firearm
and a volatile disposition disguised by a smile
Ultimately intent on strengthening the force
of an omnipotent grip...

Tree Walk
a cold sleep
under chilling dreams
mostly
bones find each other

a dirt path
in the tall woods
the ill-bred trees
as usual –

darkly
disinterested

rabbit running
helter-skelter
down the track
heading at me

it is being chased
by what
I did not see

behind my shoulder
a deadly scuffle

I keep walking
my steps
are less shock proof

Back home
taking shoes and socks off
naked feet flounder

bones hang loose
again...

M I N D S
Unsounded minds
  whispered twice,
Unopened minds
  blinked twice,
Unresolved minds
  fought twice,
Unclouded minds
  fathomed twice.

Distorted minds
  twisted twice,
Disproportionate minds
  measured twice,
Disinterested minds
  yawned twice,
Disintegrated minds
  shattered twice.

Inculcated minds
  nodded twice,
Inconclusive minds
  repeated twice,
Inexplicable minds
  questioned twice,
Irrepressible minds
  damned twice....

Premium Member It Has All Been Done Before
You may think it's unique
That it's just
happened to you
at the moment

But it has all been done before
Anything that you imagine
has already taken place
It's nothing knew

It may seem
like it's a catastrophe
or that it's the greatest
thing that ever occurred

This is just an illusion
an illumination of discrepancies
fostered by time and space
bolstered by the relevancies

of disinterested specimens
that circulate through
the time portals
of everyday situations...
