Flying Solo

I’m apathetic,
Unaffected:
Flying solo, I’m disinterested.
I see my sins that must be corrected,
is it too late for this to be perfected?

So I’ve elected,
to be tested
and retrieve what I have so neglected.
I abused what I should’ve respected,
this terminal decline must be arrested.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

An awesome reflection on apathy, Lee. And I really like the way you employed the monorhyme. Not an easy form to follow, but you succeeded well! Love, Carolyn
