I sit in the sun like a happy giant cat
My dogs have found shade
A tiny chime dings in a pretty way
Dogs sleep through this dainty sound
Does it bring a faerie to their dreams?
I will ask them later...

revealing personality disorders

the meaning of enlightenment is fulfilled...

An Unused Life
I want a life with no regrets
one shiny, bright, and new
bereft of stains and rips and tears
untarnished and unused.

No dents or dings, not slightly worn
refurbished just won't do
I want a life with no regrets
and I want it minus you....

take me for a test drive
look under my hood
tinker with my engine
I still run good

look at my smooth chassis
investigate my dash
I can get you there
and do it pretty fast

investigate deeper
don't do it just for fun
I have a few dings
but I purr when I run...

The Fly
O the fly dances in skies
buzzing and flapping wings
tapping on bells rings and dings.
That little fly flying all around the world,
buzzing around the stinky garbage that lays
there in a gutter rotting away.
That fly is happy in the sky,
but sometime I feel he might be scared
to smack a wall with his eyes open....

Premium Member Does the Noise in my Head Bother You?
Tinnitis is annoying, with little tings
going off in my ears, and crackles and rings.
With this noise in my head
I dread going to bed,
This affliction's such a terrible thing.

I often go for days without any pings
inside of my head, no hisses or dings;
but when they occur
I can't relax, life's a blur;
If there's ever a cure, I will sing!...

Premium Member How Much Longer Does a Woman Wait
how much longer does a woman wait?
she feels humiliated and gawked at
she got all dressed up to be jilted?
in public? In the fanciest restaurant in town?

She was thinking it was wedding proposal time.
Wearing her prettiest silk dress, it has been an hour.
Her phone dings. She looks down. I’m running late.
She leaves an hour later, finally getting it....

Hand Bells
One, two, three
He starts it off
A phalanx of bells starts
Rings from posts on a horse-shoe set of tables

Big heavy dongs from one of the flanks
Little light tings from the other
Medium dings from the middle
Exclusive pings when it happens

Dings like falling glass on impact
Madness orchestrated
Chaotic music with perfect control
A river of tune created...

Flawed Existence Dividends
Nubs and dents and chips and strings
Imperfect world that burns and stings
Dings and scratches, holes and bends
                       Those flawed existence dividends

Cuts and bruises, broken bones
                            People that the world disowns
Paupers, cowards, plagues and kings
                          Imperfect world of many things...

Thursday, we might have some rain;
that would be a treat again.
Need some moisture on the road;
too much and it will erode.
You don’t have to drive real far
before dust gets on the car.
Wife goes to the car wash soon.
Bad for me; for them a boon.
Why a wash is such a bust:
ere she’s home, car’s veiled in dust.
Benefit we have discussed:
covers up the dings and rust....

Water Clock
Water Clock Drip-drip sings in my ancient ears. So close to the bowl I see the rings. It dings out the hours every sixty. Tick-tock sings in my present ears. So close to the tower when it chimes. It rings out the hours every sixty. Crest-trough sings in my future ears. So close to the wave I see the vibrations. It sings out the hours every sixty.

Premium Member Perhaps Tomorrow
Perhaps Tomorrow Miracle Man 1/26/2024 Just as thoughts seldom reach the ears of another, complacency will shy away from new things. Procrastination causes death to things started, and a don’t care attitude is OK with the dings. We place “too busy” items on the back burner, with intent of finishing when time’s not in flight. But there most die, lacking needed attention, they die a slow death because our desire is slight.

Premium Member My Phone Dings For No Reason
My phone dings for no reason.
I am not playing video games.
I am not trying to speak to a friend.

I am sitting in the living room
And I hear my phone dinging in the kitchen.
I pick it up and stare at it.

There are no alerts.
No messages.
No indicators at all.

I leave it in the kitchen
And it happens again and again
No rhyme or reason to it.

The new phones
have their own personality
their own mood, and their own secretive magical ways....
