Swinging On a Star

The night sky grows dark.
Only stars illuminate.
“Twinkle” lights the sky.
So brightly that all can see.
 Your eyes “Twinkle” lovingly.

Don'T Forget

don’t forget ...
by Michael R. Burch

don’t forget to remember
that Space is curved
(like your Heart)
and that even Light is bent
by your Gravity.

NOTE: The opening lines were inspired by a famous love poem written by e. e. cummings.

Well Below Low

Well Below Low

Not only did she seem really low,
Compared to that was well below;
To her an angel was sent;
Heaven is where she went,
Where so far away did quickly go.

I think my dear we can work it out,
  if you will think about,

"I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it..." E.E. Cummings

My heart's ultrasound check - your heart, would find inside.
Eternal love for you - my ticker will abide.
Things one cannot resist - gravity, the moon's pull,
Alone, I say goodbye - my solo heart feels full.

days of sunny glad me up
before I fall in gloomy cups

instead my eyes

days of sunny had no sting
of gone by youth
a parting thing

Amy Cummings

Almost every day I think of you,
My sweetheart all the time.
You are that special someone,

Can’t live without your chime.
Underneath the oak tree,
Morning noon or night.
My Amy Cummings sits,
I think of her tonight.
Nothing can come between us,
Goodness fills are hearts,
Still I stop and ask myself,”” why are we still apart”””

Unity

Unity
Mankind must find its unity,
of every color, creed, and race.
We must join together,
so we can move out into space,

What we have done to this planet,
because of what comes to this place.
There cannot be any immunity,
from what the climate brings to the planetary community.

Of a Balloon

Who knows
if it’s the moon
who fills the sky
just get inside
and away we’ll fly
over houses, clouds
and steeples high
We’ll go sailing
should you take me
tonight
in your pretty balloon
by the silvery light
and not too soon
over cities where
the flowers bloom
and yes it’s there
from far above
we become the Spring
and welcome love
