Convivial convict corrected coquettish cop
Deliberately daring her other shoe to drop
Energetically engaging her to listen to him
Frisky foolhardy flim-flam-man with extra flim.

All In Vain

Two-thirty in the morning at my window.
Moonlit dark centiment, I feel windblown.
Convict compliment,
heartless at sundown,
and as the morning comes
the need dies down.
At sunrise all is forgotten

Every Morning

every morning
He left the darkness
hope for the future of solar
no longer enough for me
since u been gone my heart
only tears for breath
woven with black walls
a prison
I
there
without you
convict

I'M Surrendered

You can blame me as a nefarious devilish being
Your judgment can convict me as a hellish king
But I'm a surrendered creation from the womb
Where my birth has cultivated my ultimate tomb

Virtue of love

Fierce passion virtually stands as a convict in the death house.

let the Holy Spirit
draw alongside
& convict of sin

hear that small voice within?

be guided into the truth

righteousness you will always see

Premium Member The Joy of Spam

One day, a convict got away, and went out on the lam.
And on the sly, he did buy, his very own kitchen cam.
Wanting to glow, in a reality show, though not a ham.
This jailbird, much preferred, to star in the Joy of Spam.

Orphans In The Bastille

All the pure thinkers
are slave to the Poet
Their theories self-serving
whose quotients divide

With ‘facts’ that convict them
to prisons constructed
From every transcendence
— their numbers can’t hide

Throw In Life

Throw in life
And ask for nothing in return
Let it go
Flowing from every orifice
Couldn’t keep it
Never wanted to
Fled like a convict
On the run from myself
Lost but never found
Placed in that mysterious lair
Between life and death
To spend eternity
With those I despise

Convict Labour

“Be still for Chrisake!
The head is crowning.
Now be still, damn you!”

These women are the damned
Crammed into slab huts
At the edge of Hell.
Condemned as sluts,
Their bellies swell
With hunger
Or some bastard’s bastard brats.

"Be still, please God!
Let the brat be still!"

Premium Member If You Can't Beat Him

If you can't beat him, indict him
If he goes up in the polls, convict him
If he is more popular than ever, imprison him
If he will win by a giant landslide, murder him
If he lives on through his populist movement, smear him
If his movement takes over the world, you always loved him.

Love

To convict a man
you first must break his spine.
He will stand again,
like a budding flower,
ever knowing the
tears that crawled
and wavered
in his hands.

He will only speak
your name,
my love,
and the pulses of
each finger,
wrapping around yours,
will vibrate the world.

Gavel

You hold the wood in your hand
And
Wear the robes wrapped around your fragile human frame

You judge the living
And
The dead although your own breath is shallow

You read between these lines
And
Decide a life's works worth

The verdict
To convict or aquit
Hangs in the balance of the downward hammer swing

Spin This

blood grows cold at the sight
of suffering.my own and those
of others.
still holding my ears,closing
my eyes waiting for the gun
blasts to go away.

opening a cold window
to a cold street my cigar smoke
leaves my lips.
I follow the smoke as it filters
through the window screen
as an escaped convict waiting
for the wind to carry it free.

Premium Member Mike Tyson

Controversial boxing legend with a distinctive lisp, "Iron Mike" Tyson.
The sheer impact of his punch? Probably like being rammed by a Bison.

Ex-convict/former bad boy; paid his debt to society without exemption.
Came out of prison, got boxing license back, took road to redemption.

Far from family home

Daring lady
She escaped

New life hers

Sent back home

Pardoned

(Loosely based on the story of Mary Bryant who was in prison in Whales and sent to
Australia to serve out her sentence.)

''Conviction''

Convict me,my thoughts of dark.I surrender after I have made my mark.Believe that I am
vain.I swallow up your tears of pain.Convict me,I have no soul,as my life flashes out of
control.I may never be the same again.Alone,lost,and without a friend.Convict me,put me
away.For I have nothing more to say.Convict me,the story that I have told.Now I am gone
where it is black and cold.

Premium Member Missing the Mark Why We Kill

re-post inspired by Debbie's contest

We like sheep have gone astray,
if He marked our transgressions
who would stand.

Tempted,ofttimes
tormented,self-conscious,self-
seeking missing the mark;stepping
over the line,impulsive,doing what
we do want to do.

Encouraged into
doubt,we deceive ourselves,listening
to the father of lies,’Til the Holy Spirit
convict us of this sin.

Beware America's Democracy

When the erstwhile Tweeter-in-Chief vents
It is "Freedom of Speech," a First Amendment Right
When Democratic Party will "fight" tyrant-efforts
Defense rests on moral equivalence, yet last night
As many as seven Republican Senators got Party censures
For voting to convict Christian Trump of incitement (01/06/2021)

Prison Non-Stop

never ending walls
No opening to escape
claw marks on the brick

infinite walking
excercise for the sinners
we're carving out hell

three guards stand watching
mocking the lame sufferers
spitting at our feet
