time comes to say good-bye
long hugs and kisses
muffled by tears

a time of sorrow,
mixed emotions soaring
long overdue apologies,
truces ad compromises...

I watched 'Buns of Steel'
'cos I wanted the real deal

    Did all the exercises
    Brooked no compromises

But when I sneaked a little feel
My hot cross buns began to peel...

Assessment
splitting halves
battle unsolved
no compromises
no justifications
the price of beginnings
an endless sought
in the irresolution
I am caught
flawless in the contraries
the tearing poles of
my conscience
Assessment is evaluation,
Sometimes, repudiation.....

Knowledge never dies
But knowledge never compromises
Sometimes too abundant for destructions
Sometimes too scarce for salvations
Sometimes too much for a wicked man
Sometimes too little for a saint
Sometimes too hard for a student
Sometimes too innocent for a child...

Nasty Habits
When I see you unkempt
I know you’re having a bad day
And;

I can’t help but laugh
When you say how disgusted you are
At things all around

We all make compromises
In order to make it through

You have that nasty habit
Of forgetfulness
Don’t you remember when you said,
	“Trust Me”

And;
I have that nasty habit
Of forgiveness...

Feel Me Once
Does it matter?
To have you only just as a chatter.

Does I have to show?
How much I love.

Compromises, restrictions keep me killing.
And you are asking, "How am I feeling?"

Does my happiness mattered?
Because when it come to this you just shattered.

Does it feel?
When a person rebuilt after facing many deals....

Remastered memories
renovated compromises
Say thy brother's name

Touchstone compadres
Manifest of broken years
Be thy brother's keeper

Astral time prisms
empirical passengers
Keep thy brother's heart

Light years of reverence
99 flavors of forever
Hold thy brother in arms

Detour ahead----
Over the rainbow realm...

                            Some painful compromises

                                Trump want to avoid

                             Germany's nuclear power

Myrttle and Openings
With myrtle and listenability
I undertake the words of the prophets
Memories relapse in an unhealthy fashion
Man the forgetful
this rectangular mouth
compromises loftily
The Moons harsh splendour
boasts its specious context
as marigold and beam
sway across my October windowsill
like salt peter cleansing the pelt
truth is unburdened...

The Realist Daddy
He wears that thick black belt
but that doesn't make him a man.

He does heavy duty work but
he never goes, is he a man?

He is tough and talks a lot of trash,
does that make him a man?

He provides,utilizes,and compromises,
with his child and keeps child from going
through denial,come to think of it,he's a
                  man now....

Premium Member Dawn Brought Me Joy
beginning of dawn brought me joy
to wet dormant grass and crow's caw
yellow mums still in bloom in awe
and the love of my boys

blessings and great expectations
sun caressing sweet promises
with choices and compromises
to my motivation

Thank you everyone here on Poetry Soup for the birthday wishes, I've been blessed with your friendship. Hugs my friends

Listen to poem:
Bring in the din of children's cries
    the kin of family ties
the chagrin of forgiven woe betides.
Let in the breeze of summer skies
    the wherein where laughter resides
the grin of warm welcoming smiles.
Dial in the joys of compromises
    that the peacemaker devises
to hide all conflicts with disguises.
Ring in the calls to claim the prizes.

'All In' for all is the call,
which harmonizes....

Compromises Impression
It doesn't matter to me
the pleasure you had
out of me...
What your body felt
it was your feeling,
not mine...
What was past,
already passed...
If the soul was not corrupted,
this is what really
it matters...
the pleasure you felt
It was yours, your memory...
Our time has now begun...Now...
The commitment is from now on...
From here forward,
your commitment is with me.
my commitments to you...!
So we will have a chance
to be happy together..."...

Premium Member War and Peace
War yields massacre
Peace defends with war
Deaths are unavoidable
To start a war with
Conflicts and quarrels
To ends a war with
Destructions and deaths
To start a peace defendance with
A war too
To end with
Destructions more than peace
No round table
Conferences and compromises
No logics
No truths
No limits
Everything can go
Wild and limitless
Hegemony and democracy
Never compromise
War is the outcome
And deaths and destruction are
Two amongst the spoils of war...

Parenting
Parenting

The 21st century;
Changed the quality of our parenting

The busier we get;
the less time we have;
to spend with our little ones.

We buy them off with gifts.
We cast a blind eye;
Hoping their tantrums will soon stop.

We hope for a quiet moment to relax.
Giving in to their demands.
Hoping it will ease our guilt
Of not being better parents

As our children run amok;
With little values and lots of gifts.
Guilt compromises the quality of our parenting &
the quality of our children....

Sans Stilettos
Nancy took a tumble
And went falling down the stairs.
The slickness of the marble
Must have caught her unawares.

Yet who at 84 years old
Wears shoes with 4-inch heels?
Though since a hip replacement,
There’s a photo that reveals

That Pelosi, back at work,
Left her stilettos in the dust.
She’s sporting clogs, a look to which
She might have to adjust.

We all make compromises
As we ratchet up the years,
Though despite her new flat shoes,
She still will tower o’er her peers.

Another Silly Notion
I want an Andalusian woman.
Dark hair, dark eyes, dark skin.
One who looks beautiful in a summer dress
and has a Gypsy song in her heart.
All men dream of their ideal woman
and I'm sure most never actually find them.
Most of the time we find one who is the
complete opposite.
Compromises, always compromises.
But I hear Lorca's guitar weeping
and the flamenco rhythms in the Mediterranean
air, coursing through my Mediterranean blood
along with every other silly notion I've had lately....
