George Robert Newhart
was pretty darn smart
one of the greatest comedians of all time
his humor and timing were so sublime
Penguins are hilarious, they walk at attention
Like a regiment of soldiers, nature's comedians
An image so funny
Humorous and funky
Forever performing time and again
Penguins are hilarious, they walk at attention
Like a regiment of soldiers, nature's comedians
An image so funny
Humorous and funky
Forever performing time and again
While watching comedians on TV
Sure wish one of those guys was me
Making people laugh
It would be such a gas
I'd even perform on stage for free

Good stand up comedians are a very rare breed
That's why this guy is quite hilarious indeed
He's Brian Reagan
A fantastic comedian
His humour is unusual and totally unique
There was a old bunky named Jacko
Had many different hobbies, some quite wacko
Once collected cards
Not comedians you 'tards
Baseball cards worth a fortune, doesn't sound very macho
Good stand up comedians are a very rare breed
That's why this guy stands out, hilarious indeed
He's Brian Reagan
A fantastic comedian
His humour is unusual and totally unique

They don’t make ‘em like Henny Youngman no more
Borsht-belt comedians, vaudevillians before
Delivered punch lines one after another and another
Rat-a-tat-tat-touille ~ their tongues just like rubber
Not yet having become an American saint,
The past eagle-pine traveler
Is no longer here have the splendor in blue,
No longer here have the wind-bells
Ringing in hope and superior
Just as a ghost rider over our memory
It is claiming itself as silly comedians.
Former President Trump
Sat on his awesome "yhuge"rump,
Dreaming of having his ultimate revenge
While on a drug and vengeance Benge.
note: misspelled huge as "Yhuge" because the former President mispronounced it that way and comedians mocked him for it for years.
Comedians exploit the people's need,
to have themselves a good laugh to escape their harsh reality.
If the environment were changed to one where everyone benefits,
feeling melancholy or depressed would cease to exist,
making comedians obsolete or at the very least jobless.
my parents were comedians
Dad’s sense of humor was overt
over the top, he flat out laughed like a crow
his eyes crinkled like Santa’s
Mother’s sarcastic wit was undeniable
her delivery was spot on
her quips were sharply honed
before they left her mouth
we kids had no chance of not being witty
Serious poets write fancy sonnets
Fear not, entertainers and comedians
If the clown shoe or nose fits, don it
The avant guarde says ~ Give us plebians

The world just keeps turning-
Spin'n Me Round & Round...
On every turn, they change the script-
Always re-writing, Searching for the Sound.
And the deeper s--t gets, its gets funnier.
And the circle just keeps Spiral'n down...
I look around & realize-
I am surrounded by COMEDIANS & CLOWNS...

She's reticent but has a gold personality
her body is covered in white flowers
they bloom everytime my eyes look
finer-looking than all models
funnier than all comedians
smarter than all geniuses
her fearless, yet glossy eyes
stare at mine
I don't desire to wake up from this dream.
Goddess...
you are a dream!
Some of the most successful of comedians
are actually very miserable, depressed human beings.
They evoke laughter not so much because they are funny
or because that's the way that they earn their money.
They feel good about themselves when laughter upon us they evoke
and get some temporary relief from feeling like a miserable bad joke.
*(These are some Senryu poems about bestfriends.) *
My best friends and I
can talk with each other with
facial expressions
Friends can face-slap
insult each other - we know
each other so well.
We can spend a whole
day, at the park, just sitting
on the swings chatting.
Ever looked at your
bestfriend and thought, “We should be
standup comedians.”
I always wanted to be a comedian but tired I get you see
For the very best by far are standup comedians I decree
So sit I must to be at ease for I am phat
And standup is where the laughs are at
But fear not for I will tell
A story for you dear gal
I once met up with a man
As far away from me he ran
Why pray tell did he run you ask
I asked for him to do a petty task!!!
God called December 18th,
When Chris Farley was 33.
He led him to the heavens,
And set his soul free.
Chris will always be remembered,
As he accepted God's request.
When God needed His comic,
He laid Chris' soul to rest.
When God called that day,
He took a great American comedian.
And granted a divine promotion,
In being one of heaven’s comedians.
I hear in the Ukraine
there's a comedian
with no prior political experience
who has become their new President.
I wonder
they did not hear
we tried this model in the U.S.
a couple years ago
With predictable tragic/comedic results
not the least bit friendly
to public multicultural health
sold out
to support feudal monoculturing wealth
of not so funny kleptocrats.
To cook a baked potato
You need lots and lots of time –
Enough to write a longer poem
Than this, and all in rhyme.
Mitch Hedberg,* in his deadpan way,
Joked with exaggeration –
Toss a spud into the oven and
Just go off on vacation.
He may be right – I baked one,
Eighty minutes by the clock,
But my husband took a bite and it
Was harder than a rock!
*one of my favorite comedians
Classic rock bands and hilarious comedians all use to entertain me,
but now when they perform ancient relics are all I see.
If you're an old time singer or comic celebrity
here's some advice from yours truly.
Continue releasing your records but don't make appearances publicly
because you've all gotten old and if the truth be told it depresses the hell out of me.
It sure is a drag this thing we call mortality.
"Comedians are magicians."
Turns sad dull faces to jolly and cheery.
I am alone in this presence,
And others moved in the future.
Flourishing petals on me,
Scent allows me to breathe.
It's you, but now you are not!
Moved into someone's dreams.
Say my name, call me there,
Where people are humans.
It's very hard to be a human,
After five years of birth.
I am among the magicians,
Be with me,
I will make you laugh.
Comedians often make us laugh,
Oh! Some of the things they say.
Merry are their amusements,
In every sort of way.
Comediennes have that special appeal;
Of similar ilk to the comedian.
Much is of frivolity you know;
In 'turns' each others jokes they steal.
Charity of each is rarely seen,
Often as not on the television screen.
Minced words are their bread and butter.
It really doesn't matter for that
Comic Relief that splits the spleen.
