Mickey Mouse
Legendary star Mickey Mouse
Lives with his pals in a clubhouse!
Say he lost his journal filled with
doodles.
All he has to do is scream “Oh
Toodles!”...

Premium Member wild raccoons take over birthday bash
Wild raccoons came in and took over Uncle Steve’s birthday bash.
They did not bring presents, food, well wishes or any cash.
The rest of us scrambled away from the clubhouse in a flash.
Frankly, I did not know that Grandma Willie had that much dash...

Played golf

First nine
Went fine

Next nine
Not fine

He muffs
In roughs

Sand trap
Oh crap

Tough break
In lake

Bad hook
In brook

Blew putts
Some klutz

Hurled putter
In gutter

O'er par
By far

Disgust
He cussed

Clubhouse
To souse...

The Secret Clubhouse
Special handshake
Blood brothers
Boards, nails free wood found
Hidden so none could see

No girls

Growing old
Just a memory
Still blood brothers
Clubhouse disappeared

Life's Real clubhouse
Mortgage payment
Wife new member this girl okay
Children await membership

Last clubhouse
Small box
Six feet under
No secrets here

God awaits New Blood Brother...

Clubhouse Party
pooh with the only tools of honey and smarts;
mickey with his best friend Donald,
oh! what a party to start.
the three wanted to celebrate the clubhouse opening;
so they started to cheer,
giggled merrily,
and started the music.
oh! what a good time they had!
everybody was glad;
but pooh became sad,
maybe, because it was the end.
but, later we found out,
he just ran out of honey.
so mickey said,"be happy don't pout."...

Micky Mouse
Has his very own Clubhouse
His best intentions often go awry
Minnie helps with a smile, "Hello big guy"

Donald Duck,
Has a temper that makes him go amuck.
Often annoying Micky, he thinks he knows everything.
His temper tantrums rile him up to a fighting swing

Rugby
Some lads are running with the ball,
leather, pointed, played by all, though
some would say it’s from the south,
it’s just as popular, up in Louth

Now not for me to bring up class,
seems that would be rather crass,
but here’s the thing that holds
steadfast, most of us are middle-class

But we don’t care where your’e from,
when you tackle like a bomb, we’re all
the same when match is done…
beer, good cheer, and clubhouse fun....

Pitching Wedge To Hell
The Country Club of walking death,
calls out across the ferns

The 1st hole starts with pain unmatched,
its traps to flame and burn

The 9th hole calls you back to life,
just to send you down again

The 14th hole, a dismal swamp,
your demons there within

The 18th hole where soul’s are judged,
double bogeyed with a six

The clubhouse dark, your blood trail marked
—devil carrying your sticks

Premium Member No House For the Louse
My love said to meet him at three
where steaks were the best that could be,
the chophouse.

I waited a long time and then
checked his firm before searching in
the courthouse.

Maybe drinks with clients for biz?
I checked a fave place for this, his
posh clubhouse.

Nothing, was he up to no good
somewhere no man does as he should -
the dollhouse?

There, I saw my beau kiss Miss Snow
so now he is found in Fido's
cold doghouse.

It was a marvelous day
on the old fare-way
as McGee wiggled up to the ball
waving his putter, when Finn smartly uttered
"Just hit it and cut with the stall"
But 'ole McGee wanted to be
in perfect form for this stroke
So he wiggled again and, Then settled in
In efforts that he might not choke
Then turned to Finn and said with a grin
"My wife's at the clubhouse I fear"
Then, Finn spoke again " It's useless my friend
I don't think you can Hit her from here"...

Wellness
The glossy brochure made a promise,
To those maybe living with strife,
That by moving to their Senior Eden,
You’d find “wellness” the way of your life.

Though perhaps their apartments are lovely
And the clubhouse has classes and such,
To offer a life filled with “wellness,”
Is really, to me, just too much.

For no matter how shiny the pamphlet,
It all adds to a hill full of beans
When you bat around language like “wellness,”
Since I have no idea what it means.
