Gloom
Olden wordsmiths surely got it right,
one syllable to express the pain,
foggy heaviness clenching lungs,
razor-sharp edge gutting cleanly,
spear point piercing leaden heart,
weary shoulders, arms drooping
and all because of sudden rejection....

NEW AGE DYNAMICS 1

New age ethos drives
Urgency here and now
As this weary world
Morphs a new vitality
A sharpening stone
For blunt knives
To cut cleanly away
Old hangovers
And dangling debris

Don'T Look Back
Bold, sharp, cleanly cut.
This is new. The old book's shut.
Smiling, happy, stride and strut.
I'm starting fresh, no if or but.

Improve myself, learn and grow.
Time to be careful. Take it slow.
Build up the shine, make it glow.
Keep up high, don't look below....

Skipping Stones
Round and smooth, cool in your palm,
you lean back and let them soar,
cutting cleanly down to walk on water.
They skip, shining wickets
glancing in the silver light slipping low.
You turn,
letting fly a stream of words,
impulsive and precipitous,
that drop into my heart one stone.

On Our Lake
The morning - kayaks launch, voices call, sound moves cleanly over deep waters. White ibis and blue heron cordon cypress knees; shallow eddies mirror the faces of our dreams. At twilight, sherbet reflections paint sunlight's fair, fading face on our lake.

The Final Straw
The final straw

thinly concealed stripe
heavy line easy
simple strike
it doesnt make me queasy
so simply fascinating
as it spreads further apart
the flood procrastinating
before it can start
shield cleanly cut
breaking tiny swords
not cold not hot
the flood is a horde
split the canvas
dry and crumbling
frames the tower as
and leaves them shambling...

Heart all aflutter when she looks in my eyes
Thoughts deep inside me of claiming the prize
An intimate lesson, I teach her guitar
My arms are around her, she's forming the bar
My hand covers her hand and together we push
Til the notes resound cleanly and efforts produce
An elegant love song played effortlessly
Conveying through music that in which we agree...

Of Cleanliness and Godliness
Of Cleanliness and Godliness, the adage appoints;
God will be proximate to the most cleanly joints.
Now, Craig’s place is clean, I mean, his pad is bright!
And Steve lives on Craig’s left while I’m on the right.

The way that I figure, if that old saying’s true,
Then Steve’s digs are painted a deified hue.
Steve must be holy as holy can be,
‘Cause he’s next to Craig’s place, and God is not me!...

Overgrowths of arm-post life Lift upward as my steam-breath Vanishes thinly into the sky Cool sweat drips deliberately As the stacks grow larger And the sawdust smells and sticks The wagon-load will wallow obediently As the frost bites cleanly Through the still winter dusk Ash white smoke curls softly From the cut-stone chimney Where a portrait of simplicity Sleeps eternally in my mind

Premium Member Clean Heart- -
I heard a cleanly, fouled dredging
When I thought of the clean heart
When I thought of the clean heart
The fresh friend finishing
The groomed gut gargling
As of someone gently refinishing, refinishing
Deep into that darkness open
My mind always strays to furnishings
The groomed green-ware giving
The textiles came outliving
Covering me partially
Oh! God my house and heart filthy, dirty Lord God give me a clean heart

Dress At Officers Mess
You may any nearby mess
Some tomorrow access
Just to cleanly assess
Their customary dress …

Still it is an easy guess,
What they wear at officers’ mess:
More of a liberating mufti than less;
The Civilly Military for Easeful Recess …

A body cover to unfailingly bless
But fail to grant “A Dress”,
Because it does slowly impress
And wearer’s skeleton does stress …

But wisely they wear at the mess
What you wash and need not press....

The Confusion of Tragedy
Tragedy has fallen.
I've lost a layer of skin.
Push me
And the edge will come.

Its meant to be easier
And some day it will.
I'm trying to blame myself
But I know I cant

Does one seize this life
Or shut it down.
This is the confusion
Of the grieving mind

Should you open yourself.
And risk everything.
Becuase theres no guarantee
Of time

Or, should you become a recluse.
Relying on inner resources.
Living so cleanly
You might never have been...

Waterfalls gushing downhill in a violent torrent During a thunderstorm, with hefty raindrops relentlessly drenching the ground, Storm boisterous knocking at the door, brings with it a sense of playfulness and mischief that can't be ignored, Time goes on forever, as a cleanly flowing brook. via a causal nexus of living things, anti-time advocate, supplier of posture, persisting at all times, highly conspicuous.
