Grandma Gertie's grandson's getting married
Though Grandma looks like she's a bit harried
   Hey, Grandma, just chill out
No need to cry or pout
New frying pan's for FOOD! -- Why you worried?!

in life’s pause
                    when boots are kicked off
               snow drifts, melts
          the hearth blooms
     with its blanket flower flames
toasty toes chill out

El Bandit For Contest

Today mice have nothing to fear
I'm quite comfortable sitting here
for it's my turn to slouch
and chill out on the couch
so pass the popcorn and the beer!

like we're crooked dudes
with guns

Skin Deep

Indigo, not black, nor brown
not one or tother, coffee ground

It’s plain and simple, the eye to see
like winter’s bark on maple tree

I’m indigo, in mood and skin,
to be this colour is no sin

So to my friends of red and yellow,
just chill out, it’s cool to mellow

Every Child Is Precious

When the touch from
a loved child is in doubt,
chill out!

Every child is
precious, it's not an exam we
are not being tested!

An autistic child is not
strange and wild!, an autistic
child can truly be smiling inside.

Give it time and you will receive
that touch of love.

Five Love Haiku

Coffee in morning
Listening to the news unfold
None stop gloom and doom

Soon, all too soon
The dismal news overwhelms
Must shut it down soon

In the afternoon
I listen to the blues playing
Just need to chill out

As the sun starts to set
I open a bottle of red wine
with the love of my life.

Tea Time

My aunt's a fan of "Tea Time,"
Which takes place each day at 4,
When drinks and chips and dips are served
And sometimes even more.

We sit and schmooze and sip and nosh
Before our evening meal.
It's time to just chill out; relaxing
Is the main appeal.

By dinner time, if we head out,
We've had our share of booze,
Our restaurant bill much lighter,
'Cept for refills, if we choose.

Chill Out

If there's something you cannot remember,
How do you know that you forgot?
If you don't know where you're going,
How do you know when you are there?
If your mind is in a quandary,
And those furrows knit your brow,
Let all the others do the worrying,
Let them all blow of steam.
Me? I'll chill out and enjoy my coffee,
With maybe a biscuit and some cream.

Premium Member Enjoying the Sunshine

Autumn echoes slowly fade
As Winter footsteps are seen
Natures spirit tamely sleeps.

Brisk wind whined as the magic
Of the feathery snow spins,
Home warm walls keep day chill out.

Sun's outstretch scattered bright rays,
Blending orange-red streaks clouds
Poise over blue free heaven.

Kids dressed warm with wet mittens,
Looking proud of their snowman
With carrot nose and twig-arms.

Premium Member On Mental Furniture

If you're off colour
bean bag it
If you're not in the zone
couch it
If you can't center it
spa it

How is your mental furniture?

It says a lot about you
if anyone should see it
who would you allow on it
should anybody need to

Mental furniture in your head
the place you go to
to chill out, relax, regroup

it's your inner therapy
not everyone is extroverted
though that's the trend
what shape does it take

inside your head?

Oops That Was An Accident

Oops. That was a very big tumble
Now everyone around me mumbles
I didn't mean for it to show
But everyone went woah
Nonetheless, it was still a big fumble.

After all, what dropped was my mallet
It priced at all i had in my wallet
Now all they feel is fear
Even though it’s just a sphere
It’s not like its a gun and a bullet.

People need to chill out
They just don’t see my clout
This is harmless
Because I’m armless
So as they watch, I sit here and pout.

Premium Member On Strike On The Dock

On Strike On The Dock
 I didn’t have time today.
 I was shopping very late.
 People went on Strike.
 Run for your lives.
 Let's raid the grocery stores.
They bought up all of the toilet paper.
 Let’s just panic.
Wemight run out of ass wipes.
 O’ my.
 Just trying to survive.
 Raid the dollar store.
At gunpoint, that's my toilet paper roll.
 This is madness.
 How long will this last?
 Everyone needs to chill out.
I guess we ran out of paper towels too

A poem to division

ode to Hoopoes

Must be a bird, to fathom a prodigy
Mundane eyes do not often look up, high up to find any silhouettes anymore.
They do not often chill out with the loneliest kite
Soaring high with the tilted sun, a day is touched in deep around the eve
After Nemo is served, you may strum along your new thriller, blessed by Steve.
Any chapter that travels with you, sits there for a while
keeps you warm underneath the blanket, to fix a slip, meanwhile.
