Autumn echoes slowly fade As Winter footsteps are seen Natures spirit tamely sleeps. Brisk wind whined as the magic Of the feathery snow spins, Home warm walls keep day chill out. Sun's outstretch scattered bright rays, Blending orange-red streaks clouds Poise over blue free heaven. Kids dressed warm with wet mittens, Looking proud of their snowman With carrot nose and twig-arms. 1/6/2024

an enchanting poem, Eve. Although we rarely have snow in Texas, I do recall those times when we did...the memory of those times is as vivid as your descriptive words and lines. Delightful...have a wonderful evening, Sara

Awwn, what an adorable poem this is, beautiful Eve! This made my heart melt in the saccharine cadence of magical melodies that your words have woven.."Winter footsteps", "Of the feathery snow spins"Ahh, this gives me the feeling of Disney movie 'Frozen' and that snowman looks like the character Olaf from it..:)"Sun's outstretch scattered bright rays,Blending orange-red streaks clouds"What an enchanting wordsmithery you've presented here, dear poetess. This was a mystical read!Sending love & light

We haven't had any snow yet but they say it's on the way, I won't be out building snowmen, the grandsons are old enough to build their own now lol. Hope you're keeping well Eve and a very happy new year to you. Tom
