Looking back at myself
Who am I now?
Has it been instant, overnight
Or did I change over time?
The image I see
Couldn’t be me.
Is my reflection
Just how I feel?
Do others see
The differences in me?
I don’t recognize
Myself anymore.
Who have I become?

But defend failing public schools

They demand change
  Change over from fossil fuels
But keep their bacteria-rich swimming pools

They demand change
  Open up the border
Hamstring police -- but still keep order

So just to prove that 
  change is what they fear
They are apoplectic
  'cos climate change is here...

WHY one would forgo sanity & life
WHEN will you come to the other side

because cities rejuvenate
with the years...
If the landscapes change
before our eyes,
If green turns yellow
when it matures
that white, darkens in the sun..
Why don't we portend
that life will carry on
in due time,
or with another time...
life is already eternal
such a long time...
