Wayra- Chameleon

Wearing shades of dye,
he smiled sweetly in daylight,
his hot sighs choked in the throat.
At night, secreting pain,
lay on bed, a chameleon.

Congratulations Valsa on your ihgh win in this contest with a poem depicting a frequent reality. The are many of those who hide their pains or illness not to afflict their close surrounds. They may not be camaleons but those who confront pains with a positive attitude,

I noticed that she has judged this contest and you are on the winners' list. Congratulations on your name being there. Way to go. I enjoyed reading this one which is very expression and descriptive. I never got around to writing mine for some reason. Sara K.

I find this intriguing. In the heart of the night, tucked in bed, it reminds me of the immense suffering. However, too many people must endure it.

Interesting one. It makes me think of someone hiding horrible pain as he lies in bed at night. Sadly, too many people must do that

Interesting form. Often what we seem on the outside is far different from the core. Still upper Lip as the English say. I say, what the heck, grin and bear it. Life is too short. I know, somethings are near impossible to bear. I have a had a share of these also.
